HEY!!!! WHATS UP EVERYONE. LIFE IS GOOD...SO GOOD!!! HELLO, MY NAME IS KASIE B. SOME OF YOU MAY KNOW ME AS BOONE K, BOONEE, "SASHA",KASIBA, FATIMA, THE TWIN,ETC. THESE ARE ALL THE CREATIVE NAMES THAT PEOPLE HAVE GIVEN ME OVER THE YEARS. I HAVE SO MUCH TO SAY, BUT SO LITTLE SPACE TO SAY IT!...LOL. THEREFORE I WILL KEEP IT SHORT AND SIMPLE. I AM CURRENTLY A PROBATION OFFICER FOR LA COUNTY (LOVE MY JOB!) OKAY, THIS WEEK HAS BEEN THE WORST WEEK EVER FOR ME. I CANT EVEN EXPAIN HOW HARD IT HAS BEEN. FIRST, I WENT TO LAS VEGAS...TERRIBLE! THEN ON DECEMBER 2ND, I FOUND OUT SOME TERRIBE NEWS....EVEN WORSE! I MUST ADMIT THAT I HAD A "DRANK" , A PINA COLADA MARGARITA! (OOPS) WELL, SINCE WE ARE TAKING ABOUT WEIGHT LOSE, IM NOW AT 251 LBS. I GUESS THATS GOOD CONSIDERING THAT I STILL HAVING A HARD TIME STAYING AWAY FROM CARBS.

I HAVE REALLY BEEN DOUBTING MY WEIGHT LOSS WHICH I PLAN ON CHANGING AS OF TODAY.
FOR EXAMPLE, SOME ONE WILL GIVE ME A COMPLIMENT AND I WILL IMMEDIATELY SAY, "GIRL, PLEASE...I DIDNT LOSE ANY WEIGHT! " WHATS WRONG WITH ME??? AM I IN DENIAL??? ITS THE STRANGEST THING TO ME. I GUESS I HAVE BEEN FAT FOR SOOOO LONG THAT I HAVE ACCEPTED MY "FATNESS". THEREFORE COMPLIMENTS ARE VERY HARD TO ACCEPT.
SO, FOR A PLEDGE TO MYSELF, I AM GOING TO STOP DOUBTING MY "CUTENESS!!" IM GORGEOUS DAMMIT!!!! LOL... I CRACK MYSELF UP! THAT WAS A KNEE SLAPPER! LOL...

THIS IS FUNNY TO WRITE BECAUSE MY TITLE, "GETTING LAZY" IS SOOOOO TRUE! I MEAN, IM MORE THAN LAZY. I AM JUST OUT RIGHT RIDICULOUS!!! IM BASHING MYSELF BECAUSE IT IS SO NEEDED. MAYBE I WILL GET MY LAZY BUTT UP AND DO SOMETHING WITH MY NONEXCERCISING SELF!!!
LOL...I HAVE TO LAUGH AT MYSELF BECAUSE I JUST MAKE NO SENSE AT ALL!!! I SHOULD BE AGAINST THE LAW TO BE THIS DAMN LAZY!!! LOL...

1ST DAY I WORKED OUT...FELT LIKE I WAS... on October 25, 2008 10:16 pm
O.K., SO I WALKED A MILE TODAY AT A COMMUNITY COLLEGE. I WAS READY...WATER, IPOD, TOWEL, ETC.
ANYWAY, I WAS WALKING FOR AT LEAST 30 MINUTES UNTIL I FOUND MY STOMACH FEELING A LITTLE QUIZZY! I FELT LIKE I WAS GOING TO THROW UP! I ATE A LITTLE OATMEAL PRIOR TO WALKING, BUT NOPE, MY BODY COMPLETELY TOOK A TURN FOR THE WORST!!!
BUT I WALKED IT OUT AND I FINISHED MY MILE... WHEN I FINALLY STOPPED WALKING, I FELT LIKE COLLAPSING ON THE GRASS. I HAVE NEVER EVER FELT SO OUT OF IT! IT SCARED ME AND MY FRIEND WHO WALKED WITH ME. BUT SHE COACHED ME, MADE ME STRETCH, TAKE DEEP BREATHES AND REQUESTED THAT I KEEP DRINKING MY WATER!
I REALIZED THAT I WAS DEHYDRATED AND LOW ON PROTEIN!!!! I IMMEDIATELY DRANK THE WATER, GOT ME A CHICKEN TORTILLA BOWL WITH NO TORTILLA STRIPS FROM EL POLLO LOCO AND REST THE REMAINDER OF THE DAY....
WELL, I MUST SAY... THE WALK HELPED TREMENDOUSLY! I LOST 3 LBS.! I AM GETTING UP BRIGHT AND EARLY TOMORROW AND WALKING AGAIN....BUT NOT AS HARD AS I WORKED OUT TODAY, LOL! GOOD JOB TO ME THOUGH,...

Low Carb Recipes!!! Yipee... on October 25, 2008 2:06 am
Magic Pizza Crust
8 oz. grated parmesan cheese (fat free)
1/4 t. baking powder
2 T. shredded mozzarella (fat free)
2 T. extra virgin olive oil
3 large eggs
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Spead evenly in 12 inch pizza pan and bake at 450 degrees for 12 minutes. Take out and top as you like. Bake at 350 until cheese is melted and bubbly.
The entire recipe (without toppings) is 8 carbs. That's 1 carb per pizza slice. Then, add the carbs of whatever toppings and pizza sauce.
You can experiment with this and make bread for sandwiches and burgers!
Another Type of Pizza – Meatball Pizza! (150 Calories, Almost 15 grams of protein!!!)
-1/2 of a Thomas' WHOLE WHEAT english muffin, toasted very well
-1 tblspoon of any low-sugar spagetti or pizza sauce
-1 to 2 small frozen turkey meatballs
-approx 1 tblspoon of fat free or part-skim mozzarella cheese
-Toast the english muffin REALLY well, then layer the sauce on top. Place the frozen meatballs in the microwave for 1 minute, then slice thinly and layer on top of the sauce. (I used about 1.5 meatballs) Then top with cheese and melt in the oven or toaster oven.
YUM!
Note: I am on the soft stage and did really well with this - no problems at all!
Ruby Tuesday's White Chicken Chili
1 T. extra virgin oil
1 chopped chili pepper
1 medium onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
3 c. chicken stock
2 cans great northern beans
1/2 c. salsa
1 t. oregano
1 t. cumin
1 t. cayenne pepper
salt to taste
3 c. diced cooked chicken
Garnish: Cheddar Cheese or Mozarella and Sour Cream (fat free)
Saute onion, garlic, and pepper in oil. Add stock, seasonings, beans, salsa, and chicken. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for 20-30 minutes. Put in bowl and garnish as desired.
Skillet Lasagna
1 lb lean ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
2 minced garlic cloves
1 can diced tomatoes
8 oz tomato sauce
1 can water
1 t. oregano
1 t. basil
1 t. kosher salt
1 T. parsley
2 1/2 c. whole wheat pasta (raw)
1 c. fat free cottage cheese
1/4 c. fat free shredded mozarella
1/4 c. fat free grated parmesan
Brown meat, garlic, and onions. Add tomatoes, sauce, seasonings, water, and whole wheat pasta. Bring to a boil. Cover and turn heat to low. Simmer for 20 minutes or until pasta is done. Combine cheeses and drop by spoonfulls on top. Cover until melted.
Crockpot Jambalaya
1 can diced tomatoes
1 can beef broth
1 can tomato paste
2 med. green peppers, chopped
1 med. onion, chopped
3 celery ribs, chopped
1 carrot, chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
3 t. parsley
2 t. basil
1 1/2 t. oregano
1/2 t. cayenne pepper
1/2 t. hot pepper sauce (Franks)
Kosher salt to taste
1 lb chicken breast, cubed
1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
1/2 lb uncooked shrimp
Hot cooked brown rice (optional )
In slow cooker combine all ingredients except shrimp and cook on low for 4 hours. Stir in shrimp. Cover and cook 15-30 minutes until pink. Freezes well. Serve with brown rice for Core or eat without rice.
Great Chicken Meal
Extra Virgin Olive Oil ½ Ground Pepper
Hot Peppers (Optional)
Basil
Oregano
2 Tbsp Chopped Onion
2 Garlic Pieces, Minced
3 Chicken Tenders
3 Mushrooms, Sliced
1/2 Green pepper, Chopped
1 small tomato in wedges
Saute Garlic and onions together in a skillet. Little Oil. Saute til it carmilizes. As it simmers, add basil and oregano. After it browns a little, add the green peppers. Let simmer til brown. Then add chicken. Once seasoned and cooked thoroughly, add mushrooms. Cut up tomatoes on the side is a delicious add….
Kosher Salt to taste
Total Calories: est. 250 ….a little on the high side for calories, but remember, only 2 oz. of food per sitting.

and WARMING!
Egg White Spinach Omelette
Egg-whites
Frozen Spinach
Spices to your liking (I used .5 tsp cumin [which turned egg-whites yellow and that's good if you're trying to trick people into eating healthy lol]
1 clove crushed garlic
pepper to taste
.5 tsp cayenne pepper
veggie-slice (soy-based cheese)
condiments to your liking (I topped it off with sarachi chili paste - spicy! :oP~).
Directions: Place about half cup of frozen spinach in microwave-safe bowl and nuke for 34-50 seconds depending on your microwave setting. Add spices and egg whites and mix in bowl. Have frying pan heated on medium-high and cook omelette mixture. Flip over after about 4 minutes or after egg is a golden yellow. Repeat on other side, add a slice of cheese to 1/2 of the omelette circle, turn off heat and put lid on omelette. Wait one minute, fold the omelette in half, squeeze a condiment on top (optional) and serve with greens or just alone and voila.. another pretty and nutritious morning breakfast for us egg-eating folks!! :o)
Calories run about 100-200 calories depending how much egg you use~ Nice huh?

My Story
LET ME FIRST SAY, BIG OR SMALL, I LOVE MYSELF! THAT WILL NEVER CHANGE ....
I HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH MY WEIGHT ALL OF MY LIFE. BUT MY WEIGHT STORY IS A LITTLE DIFFERENT THEN ALOT OF YOU GUYS. SEE, SINCE I WAS 8 YEARS OLD, I HAVE PLAYED SOCCER. THREE TIMES A WEEK PRACTICE AND GAMES EVERY WEEKEND KEPT ME VERY FIT. ON TOP OF THAT, I ALSO PLAYED BASKETBALL, BASEBALL AND VOLLEYBALL EVERY YEAR IN HIGH SCHOOL. BUT I KNEW THAT MY WEIGHT WAS A ISSUE BECAUSE I NEVER REALLY GOT SKINNY LIKE THE REST OF MY TEAM MATES. I STILL WORE THE LARGEST SIZES IN ALL THE BOUTIQUES AND DEPARTMENT STORES. I ALWAYS HAD A PUGGY STOMACH AND MY LEGS AND ARMS WERE LARGE. BUT THE SPORTS KEPT ME BALANCED. WHEN I TURNED 18 YEARS OF AGE AND ALL THE SPORTS ENDED, THAT IS WHEN THE WEIGHT POUNDED ON. MY HEAVIEST WEIGHT IS 315 LBS. I BECAME SO FRUSTRATED WITH DIETING AND SICK OF NOT BEING ABLE TO DO THE LITTLE THINGS...ROLLER COASTERS, FLYING COMFORTABLY, EVEN WEARING A BUTTON DOWN SHIRT! THIS IS WHY I DECIDED THAT SURGERY WAS THE BEST OPTION FOR ME. I HAVE SO MUCH MORE IN LIFE TO DO AND I WANTED TO DO IT WITH CONFIDENCE AND POISE. PEOPLE DONT REALIZE THAT, "JUST BEING NORMAL" IS HARDER WHEN YOU ARE A LARGER PERSON.
THIS HAS BEEN SUCH A LONG BUT BLESSED JOURNEY. I HAD GASTRIC BYPASS SURGERY ON SEPTEMBER 25, 2008. THE SURGERY WENT EXCEPTIONAL AND I WAS UP AND WALKING 3 HOURS LATER! IM 28 YEARS OLD AND I THINK THAT HAD ALOT TO DO WITH MY FAST RECOVERY. ANYWAY, ITS ONLY BEEN A WEEK AND I FEEL GREAT. IM DOING EVERYTHING I DID BEFORE...THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS, IM NOT EATING! OF COURSE, IM SOOOO TIRED OF LIQUIDS, BUT YOU GOTTA DO WHAT YOU GOTTA DO. I HAVE BEEN WEIGHING MYSELF EVERY SUNDAY AND MY FIRST WLS RESULTS WERE 27 LBS. GONE! ALOT OF IT IS WATER WEIGHT, BUT I WILL TAKE IT! LOL...
