Nov. 13, 2006 I found out today from my surgeon, that I cannot take time-realeased medications. I have had a terrible time mentally since the surgery, now I know why. I have been on cymbalta for over a year, and it is time-released. The office told me that people that have had the Lap Band surgery, do not absorb time-released medications. So, it is like I took myself totally off the anti-depressant. This has been horrible. I would love for anyone, that has shared this experience to contact me. I need all the prayers, support and encouragement I can possible receive. I thought I was losing my mind. God Bless to All! Kathie Canter ksm

Today is Monday, Nov. 13th. Good morning to everyone. I have lost 17 pounds since Oct. 26th. I have had a rough time, I don't know, if it is because of my other medical issues or not. If anyone out there would contact me, I definitely need support! God Bless to everyone! ksm Kathie Canter

Well, today is Sunday, Nov. 5th. Yesterday was my 34th wedding anniversary, and I cried all day. I was rude to everyone, and kept asking my family, if I had done the right thing. My daughter in law, Kelly is a LPN, and she keeps reassuring me, that I did do the right thing! I know,that all of you, will not go through this, because, I have alot of medical issues. Anyway, I calmed down, called Dr. Dyer, spoke to him, and with his calming and assuring words, I began fine! (Also, with alot of praying) As of this morning, I have lost 12 pounds. I am feeling much better, and again, thanks to all of you for your wonderful encouraging words and support! GOD BLESS YOU ALL! In Christ, Kathie Canter

Hello Everyone! I went to the Doctor today, one week post-op, I have lost seven pounds with my clothes on! On my scales at home, I have lost 10 (TEN) pounds! Praise the Lord. I again, want to thank all of you who prayed for me, and all of you facing surgery, just hang in there! I did get sick once this week, but I ate cottage cheese before I should have! I want to really thank one of my best friends, who also had surgery, MIKE SIRCY. He has truly been a Godsend to my life, and really stuck by me, throughout this! God Bless all of you! Again, thanks to Dr. Dyer and staff at the office, they are Great! Also, thanks to the staff at Centennial, everyone has been unbelievable! In Christ, Kathie Canter

Hello Everybody! I want to thank all of you for your prayers, and concern, during my recent surger! I had my lapband Thursday, Oct. 26th. I am not going to tell you I didn't have any pain, but I did, and still do. However, I believe, it is more because, I was not physically fit going into the surgery, and all the other illnesses I have. But, on the bright side, my hospital stay, was great, from the anesthesiologist, to my nurse Cara. Dr. Dyer was so sweet also. I don't have any compaints about my surgery and stay at Centennial. Anyone getting ready for this, go on! I am not hungry, like I use to be, however, I am only post op 3 days. I am ready for stage 3 to get a little more food! GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE FACING OBESITY SURGERY! GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!!!!! KSMC
