May 7th is my one year anniversary since my surgery. Thank you to everyone who has touched my life along the way and to those who have allowed me to touch their lives!

Gosh, not even a year from my surgery and I just feel so very good. I am still eating only fresh non-processed food and it is working out very well for me. 

 December 7th will be 7 months since my surgery.  A life changing experience in terms of my physical and emotional health. I eat so healthy  now--only fresh fruits, veggies, and meat.  Life has become so simple without all of the food issues to deal with and I am living it to the fullest! For that I am truly thankful.

Last Thanksgiving 2007:

Words can not express how good I feel both physically and emotionally. I feel stronger than I have in years in terms of my self-concept, my physical abilities, and my emotional well-being. Food had been such a defining factor in my life for so long.  Last night, at a party where there was so much food, I realized for the first time that I really had little to no interest in the food. I ate, yes, but I simply ate because I was hungry, not because I was really interested in what was served or the food itself.  That was something I could have never anticipated before. And it was so lovely, because it was also not something I really was focused on. It just happened.
