Surgeon Testimonial

George Mueller, MD
I first fell in love with his great support staff! Then I met Dr. Mueller and realized why he had such great people around him. He is very personable and easy to speak with. He is very clear about his expectation for his patients. I would have liked more info on the following steps from him and possibly an acknowledgment of him doing the surgery. rnHe has a strong belief that the success relies on the after care program and the patients' committment . rnI know that he has been doing lap band for a little over a year and that obviously caused some concern. Knowing that he has been doing RNY for over 10 years with 99% of his procedures being laproscopic made me feel a lot more comfortable.

Feeling silly!

Yep bought 2 pair of size 14 jeans :D  I even went to try on some Levi's and they fit too!  I haven't been able to wear Levi since freshman year in college.  Today was a good day :)

Hey there strangers!
Let's see...  I am still in a 16 but they are officially loose out of the dryer :)  I walked another 5k (MD).  YAY!!  I crossed my legs under a table.  Double YAY!!  My husband didnt recognize me when he came out of a bathroom. Big friggin YAY!!
I also am realizing how important exercise is to my success and am trying to make it a consistent part of my new lifestyle.  While I'm sharing...  I am more aware of my stress eating.  It manifests in the form of milkshakes and brownies instead of 2 meals from a restaurant.  Still not good but nowhere near as bad as I was.  I am stressing over my husband's possible deployment or exit from the Navy in June.  I am opening a new store in a new position and I don't want to let anyone down.  I have to move at the end of MAy and haven't found a place yet.  To top it all off, I am a matron of honor and have to plan and participate in three showers (I asked her if she could move her wedding back a couple months and she said no!)  lol  Did I mention this is all happening in the next two months?  Yeah I've had a couple milkshakes :D
I should really talk to people b/c I typically hold it in.  I even admitted to my hubby about the stress eating but he took that as a "take your own advice moment" and I shut down.  We'll see.  I think that catches you up.

edited to add:  I am still trying to be a part of this study to have an IUC (Merina) and they called yesterday to say that my Iron is low :(  No real surprise with the cycles from hell that last 3 weeks.  May have to stay on pills or just get it outside of the study.  Now, you're caught up.

Official 16

This is awesome.  I am officially sixteen in pants and XL in juniors or L in regular sizes.  I am thrilled.  Shoes even fit better at this point.  No issues so far with my fill on Thursday.  I went out last night and was able to eat some mashed potatoes, chips and salsa.  Able to take my bcp now as well ( hubby VERY happy) and dropped past 212 finally to 208.  Have a great weekend!

My Story

Hello
I am an overweight Navy wife living in San Diego.  I have finally realized that it it not better to be fat than pregnant.  I have a huge fear of bringing a child into the world and have used PCOS as an overcoat to protect me from the possibility.  I have 3 furbabies and a wonderfully supportive husband and a greater work support group than I could have imagined.  I am here to expand my network and to one day provide some support to someone after me.  I look forward to getting to meet new people and hopefully realize the person that I am to be.
