Just getting started
on January 3, 2012 10:48 pm
I am currently 2 weeks post op from my RNY.  I have lost 8 pounds so far.  Sadly, I will most likely not lose as quickly since I was banded previously.

I was banded June 2008.  I really loved my band, though I sometimes fought with it (we didn"t always see eye to eye, that crazy band and I.)  I lost 113 pounds, with about 80 to go when it eroded.  I was devestated by this and still feel quite bitter and hateful towards the doctor who did it.  He screwed up.  Period.  He was (my personal opinion... but I'm pretty sure accurate) a drug addict.  Of course I didn't find this out til after he had nearly killed me with his indifference.  I also found out a few months after having to have my band removed that another one of his patients who was banded 4 months before me also had to have her band removed due to and eroison 2 months before mine.  One... bad luck.  Two... surgical error..

Ah well, life sucks then you die.  LOL.  I have to laugh or cry about it.  I gained back 50 pounds of that hard lost weight waiting for my bypass to come through.  Almost like starting over but with a slower weight loss this time.
