Surgeon Testimonial

Tim Faulkenberry
Dr Faulkenberry is a great Dr. My first impression was that he is extremely detailed and thorough. He has good bedside manor and has a good program in his office that he follows with nutrition, exercise, pre and post op foods. I would rate him a 10. If I have anything negative to say it would be the people filing paperwork for him, seem to be a little disorganized. Be sure to keep copies of everything yourself you may need them.

I'm back /// needing help
on April 9, 2009 4:57 am
Hi, Well I'm post op and am having trouble gaining back.  I've had knee surgery, carpal tunnel surgery and a spinal medial branch block since posting last.  I've gained some weight and am at 183.  So, I'm making an effort to get back on track and take this weight back off.  Carbs seem to be my problem and inactivity from all of my surgeries.  I'll start posting today and get back on track and get the weight back off.  I've developed some agorophobia from staying inside so much and I'm planning to work on that also by breathing and negative thought process therapy.  I did it before I can do it again.  i want to be back in my sz 8 jeans and throw away the sz 16 for good.  So here I am ready to start again before it gets any worse.

update on weight loss surgery

Hello everyone,  I'm 1 year post op and at a 23.5 BMI, normal weight and 146 lbs. (see pics)  This is amazing.  I haven't been this weight since college.  My CHF symptoms are not even noticable anymore, so long as I don't  have too much salt.  I have cut my lithium intake in half and my back, hip and knee injuries are not nearly as painful.  I'm  tolerating daily activites and enjoying life without canes or walkers.  This surgery is the best thing I ever did for myself.   I thank God, my Dr and and family for giving me a 2nd chance.
