Over the course of several years I thought of RNY surgery, I even went to 2 Bariatric Surgeons and ended chickened out of having surgery. My health was declining even further, High Triglycerides (800), High Cholesterol, High BP, and pre-diabetic so Once again my weight was on my mind not to mention in '04 I lost 50pds to put that back on in late '06 early '07. So one day in Feb. I decided to get on the internet and look up Bariatric Surgeons in my area, that search led me to call Dr.Bryan Freeman's office in Anniston, AL. I had a consultaion conference 4 days later, I was excited, but still somewhat unsure If I would follow thru w/ the surgery. In the past my family was non-supportive but as seeing my health further decline this time they were supportive, my husband went w/ me to the conference and was very Impressed w/Dr.Freeman, his mannerisms and the fact that he prayed w/ us at the conference. Before we left that day each of us in the conference knew exactly what our ins. would pay, I have BCBS of AL and had to follow a 6 month weigh-in w/ my doctor or a nutritionalist before approving me for surgery, I had no problems after my 6 month weigh-ins /diet was over, my info was e-filed and I was actually still on the phone w/ Beverly when she said "your approved" I almost fell out, I figured I had to wait days/weeks to get an approval but I did not. I had my RNY on Aug. 22, 2007.
Cool Yogurt Fruit Dip:
1 Container (6oz) Raspberry nonfat Yogurt
3/4 cup thawed SF Cool Whip
Mix ingredients until well blended; Cover
Refrigerate 2 hours
Serve as dip for fresh fruit.
*I'm going to try it w/ a little cream cheese in it*
Also, I 'm sure you could substitute raspberry w/ strawberry, or other flavors.
Chocolate Banana Smoothie
2 Cubes Ice
1 Cup Lt. Choc Soy Milk
1 Lrg Frozen Banana; Cut into chunks
2 TBLSP Van-flav Whey Protein Powder
put into Blender and Pulse until smooth
Vitamin C Smoothie
1 Cup Non-Fat yogurt
1 Cup OJ
2 Ice Cubes
2 TBLSP Van-Flav Whey Protein Powder
1 Mango; diced
add Ingredients pulse until smooth, add mango and puree' til smooth

OVEN FRIED VEGETABLES:
1/4 Cup Fine dry Bread Crumbs
1 T. Parmesan Cheese
1/8 t. Paprika
2 T. Italian Salad dressing
** Use this mixture for any type Oven Fried
Veggies you want : Squash, Zucchini,Mushrooms,
Onions, Eggplant, Cauliflower
Preheat Oven 450 degrees, Spray baking sheet w/ cooking
spray; Mix together bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, Paprika,
Drizzle dressing over veg's & toss til coated, Place in single layer
and bake for 10 to 12 Min.......servings 4 ...Calories 101...Total Fat 6g
4 oz Cream Cheese, 1 1/2 cups milk, 2 pkgs SF Lemon Pudding mix, 8oz SF Cool whip,
Vanilla wafers(reg or sf): Line dish w/ vanilla wafers, squeeze 1/2 Lemon over wafers,
Mix all ingredients,squeeze other 1/2 of Lemon in mix, pour into dish, refrigerate to let set up, serve w/ cool whip on top. ( from OH member Main board)
Creamy Italian Chicken:
4 Chicken breasts, 1 pack dry Italian seas., 8oz cream cheese softened, 1 can cream of chicken soup, 1/4 cup water. Place chicken in crock pot, mix dressing and water pour over chicken. cover and cook 3 hrs on Low. Mix cream cheese and soup well and pour over chicken and cook 1 hr or until chicken is done but not dry. (from Kay L bama board)
