Numb Tongue trouble...

Jun 25, 2014

About a month ago, I had my wisdom teeth extracted. One of the teeth came out in 15 pieces, so the oral surgeon told me. I am now left with a numb tongue and nerve damage. It is very difficult to talk; I keep biting my tongue and my cheek on the left side, but the worst part is not being able to taste or feel anything on the left. I was assured that this will heal over the course of the next several months. It is a big pain in the neck!  I am hoping that it does heal! This is worse than any of my other surgeries. My gall bladder removal, my varicose vein removal and my gastric sleeve were all much easier to recuperate from than this has been.

On the good side though, I am still maintaining my good weight. I am typically at 143-144 now. I got a job about two months ago at my YMCA, part time. It's perfect because I love going to exercise at the Y, so why not work there too? I also went to see my GP Doctor and he said my numbers were all good. My A1C was 5.4 and my BP was 100/60. It is just my cholesterol is still on the high side (240), but he said my LDL/HDL are good.

Still exercising regularly too....so it is almost all positives. going to my FF (I call it the "Formerly Fat") support group meeting tonight. Always look forward to that.
