Okay, things are moving fast now.  I've had my first few appts and now I see the social worker next week.  Nov 2nd I see Dr. Glazer and my surgeon Dr. Sohi from there I expect a date!
the appt with the dietiant went well, they will ask you to "explain" the operation, so be prepared.  She said I had a very good understanding of what was coming after the surgery, she also said she won't need to see me again before surgery...also another hint of an successful appt with the RD is make SURE YOU TELL HER YOU EAT BREAKFAST! I do anyways, but she seemed very impressed about that.

Why did I become a fat person, why me? 

Sometimes I feel that I'm fat because I'm being punished for some cosmic sin from a past life! ....Okay maybe I'm not that dramatic but STILL why me?   I've got many friends who were thin all their lives and never go out of their ways to be a "exercise-eat right" kinda of people.  I feel this is unfair as I've worked so hard and counted so many calories and grams of fat, and carbs, and #@&%!! 

Ahh Well, it is what is is.  I'm beginning a journey that will change my life completely, at the young age of 42 I plan to no longer be a slave to my bathroom scale and begin my love-affair with the full-lenght mirror.  I just got a look at a photo of me over the weekend (side shot to boot!) and felt a wave of disgust...don't you just hate that?  Some well-meaning friend or family member posts a photo of you on FB or whatever and you are horrified....your protests fall on deaf ears, they'll just say "What? that is a really good one of you"  UGH!!!

This is getting close..
Feb 2010 got  referal from my GP Dr.
July 2010 got my letter for orientation
Aug 2010 got another letter patient info session.
