My Story

Originally had Lap-Band surgery in July 2007.  My largest weight loss was 40 lbs.  When I would get follow up visits with surgeon, I was told that I was a failure.  The band was at capacity and I was the one with the problem.  (Only did Fluroscopy fill, never had endoscopy to see if band was in the right place.)

At the beginning of 2012 was having really bad GERD, so much so that food was coming up during the night.  Went to see bariatric surgeon (different from original), who performed endoscopy and found that my band was around my esophagus!  So I had band removed.

Now planning RNY, but I am extremely concerned about medication absorption because I take several medications (one that I cannot take in liquid form).
