Surgeon Testimonial

Ranjan Sudan, M.D.
Dr. Sudan knows what he is doing - I was impressed by what I had heard through others and when I met him. I did have several issues with someone in the billing area named Lori that I was not pleased with at all - but - I do not let that go towards my feelings of him and his staff I deal directly with. Aftercare is very important - follow up - follow up. I would give Dr. Sudan the highest rating I possibly could. His surgical competence is top notch - as well as his bedside manner. He makes sure you are doing well - and will address all issues you have. I can't say enough about him and I am so glad I had this done. My life has changed so much all ready.

Just under the 6 month wire.....
on July 24, 2007 2:32 pm
I have done what in the past has been impossible - I have now lost over 100 pounds and I feel wonderful - I have not felt this great in years.  I have so many clothes that are way to big - things I could barely get into.  I am so happy my husband and I have been doing a great deal of walking lately and this is just adding to my weight loss.  I promise I will have new pictures by next weeek - after my 6 month dr's appointment - I can honestly say - you will not even recognize me.  I look completely different.

Busy
on April 17, 2007 7:32 am
Well - am very busy these days - I just started a part-time job.  I am enjoying the difference between my full and part-time job.  I move around a lot at the part-time job.  I have to save money for a week long trip this summer for my oldests softball.  It will also help with the discount at school shopping time for next year.  I do have my 3 month check up coming up in May - so, I am anxious for that.  I feel great - no problems and I am easily getting all my protien and liquids in.

6 Weeks out....
on March 15, 2007 9:07 am
I am sooooo excited I can't even begin to tell you - I am down 46lbs and 24 inches.  Down from a 10w in shoes to a 9 1/2.  I am down 2 jean sizes.  I also bought and wore something - I have not worn since high school - a belt.  I felt like a real person - not somebody being stared at because I was fat.  I finally added my before photos and plan to add my new ones this weekend.  I am so excited to see the difference myself - I can't wait!!!

Well
on February 22, 2007 10:50 am
According to my scale - I am down 35lbs - for 3 weeks - I don't think that is too shabby.  I am very excited.  Looks like I will be going back to work on March 15 or 19.  I have to decide how much vacation time or unpaid time I want to take.  I am slowly feeling ready to head back.  I think once I am working - weight will continue to drop at a steady rate.  My hubby actually has started doing a bit of excersising - It is really nice here today in Omaha - We are planning on taking a walk later on.  I used to walk this route with a neighbor before surgery - but, we have not walked it for a while - so maybe he will want to walk it with me now - then we can add to it.  Well 5 more pounds to go for my 1st goal.  Once I go to the dr - I will measure again and see how many inches I have lost as well.  Funny thing - my shoe size went from a 10w to a comfortable 9 1/2.  So, that makes me happy - my oldest and I can share shoes for sure now - without the worry of me stretching them out.

My Story

I have always struggled with my weight - but, I never really viewed myself as overweight until after I had my first child over 15 years ago - I was upset at that point wearing a size 18.  I sure wish I could fit into an 18 now.  I have tried various diets and excersise programs - Nothing seemed to work for me except Redux, then they took it off the market.  I gaind back what I had lost and then some.  I guess I am one of the lucky ones...I am just obese - I don't have any other heath issues.  I am very saddened at how much I weigh and how long I have weighed this much.  I love playing sports but, I have not been able to do much for years.  I will break into a sweet just walking from the car to my destination.  I know several people who have had WLS and I always thought - how can they do that - I could never do that.  I know I can do it on my own.  Then last fall - I said to myself - who are you kidding - you have been doing it on your own for 15 years.  I have tried WW - I called Jenny - joined several gyms - You name it - I have wasted my money on it over the past 15 years.  I love spending time with my kids - I just want to be more active and involved in there lives.
