Surgeon Testimonial

John Yadegar
I felt at ease with Dr. Yadegar and his staff from my first visit. I felt they required me to be well informed and as involved in my weight loss journey as they were.
Liz and Joanna are lovely. Dr. Gatt had a wonderful demeanor during the psychological evaluation.
I was a bit put back by the request to lose even more weight but they assured me it was all a part of my trip down "Losers Lane"!
After taking educational classes and attending an informational seminar I felt much better to assess if this was the right path for me to take.
I have not yet (pre-op is 10/18/06) had my surgery so I can only comment thus far--but I would highly reccommend the services of Dr. John Yadegar and his well trained staff.

An update: I can't tell you how absolutely delighted I am with Dr. Yadegar and his practice! After a slight boggle after my trouble free surgery I am on the road to losing and health. Dr. Yadegar practices with restraint and conservatism--I appreciate that he takes his time, thinks things through and is not a radical, reactive type. His compassion level is unsurpassed and I would ask that anyone within driving distance consider his services.

Kitty~Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. I am waiting for you on the losers' bench!

Hi everyone! My name is Kitty Krell and I live in Santa Clarita (actually, in a tiny area outside of there called Green Valley). I am especially excited to have a surgery date (October 23, 2006). It'll be like a new birthday! To my friends and family--THANK YOU. To Dr. Yadegar and his excellent staff--Thank you, as well!
Been overweight since birth (!) which was a reallllly long time ago!! But up until my 20's I was always athletic--but then came four babies--who are now in various stages of growing up--and the weight really piled on.
I am looking to live longer and feel and look better. Plus, I really, really want to get back on a dirtbike and up on a wakeboard come summer of 2007!
Great family, great boyfriend--who love me lumps and all. I want this for me.

7 months!

Well, can it be?! 7 months have flown by and the weight keeps coming off. I'm down 86.5 pounds now--am at 149 pounds and have a BMI of 24.8---less than my beautifully trim and fit boyfriend! The new pedals go on my mountain bike today--should be interesting thundering these thighs up the hill!
I am thankful to our almighty God and to dear Dr. John Yadegar and to all the staff at Lancaster Community Hospital and to Dr. Yadegar's staff in particular.

6 MONTHS!!
on April 25, 2007 3:15 pm
OH MY GOSH!! I can't believe how the time has flown! Yesterday was six months from my surgery date--today I am down 75.5 pounds--I can't believe it. Maybe another 25 or 30 pounds to go. I weigh 160--even if I got down to 140 I would be ecstatic. I am still a saggy maggie but better saggy and slim than solid and fat. I would do it all over again!

I never thought I'd be running/walking 3 miles at once -- on purpose! I am so thrilled to be feeling more fit, energized and normal. I am so grateful to my surgeon, Dr. Yadegar, and his staff for showing me the way to get to this point.
Do I have a long way to go? You betcha. I am not the least bit discouraged that I still have a long road ahead of me--at least I am on that road and headed in the right direction. Even though I am no slim bean just yet and don't expect I'll be in any beauty contests anytime soon--I feel so much more powerful than I did 55 pounds ago. And feeling powerful and in charge and in control is as beautiful as I ever want to be.
I tell everyone that wants to know about the surgery anything they want to know--right down to the nitty gritty.  One thing this whole experience has taught me is that to be well we have to be well informed.

Well who woulda thought I'd be up to 50 sit ups, 15 to 20 pushups and jogging every day? Certainly not me but I am. I'm losing very slowly but steadily. I am having no discomfort or complaints of any sort--other than some nagging knees! They don't appreciate my new found jogging! I am now at 191 (45 pounds lighter) and am aiming hard to be at my New Year goal of 189! My birthday is March 1 and I'm hoping to be 175--not gonna beat myself up if I don't make it--any weight loss is reason for celebration. I am really glad I had the operation and owe alot to Dr. Yadegar and his awesome team!

My Story

Suffice it to say, I've been chubby, hefty, solid, stout, heavy, weighty, large, substantial, plus-sized, corpulent, obese, portly, fleshy, plump and, dare I say, fat nearly all my life.

I am hoping that w/l/s will help me to be the athlete in me that is screaming to get out. Dirtbiking and wakeboarding--here I come!
