Arthur B. Chasen, M.D. Dr. Chasen was striaght up front with me. He is a very caring man but you better do everything he says to do and go all the way with it.
All of the staff is pleasent and kind and helpful.
There is nothing to not like about Dr. Chasen or his staff. All of you that have him as your Doctor please follow his directions to the letter. He is well informed on WLS and you can ask him anything. After care is top on the list. It is how you use the TOOL that will make the differents in how you look and feel. He goes over all the risks time and time again. Please ask questions. The Doctors and staff don't know whats going on in your head if you don't tell them.. He is excellant in my eyes and I hope he never leaves Ft. Gordon. Both bedside manner and competence is great but a competent surgeon is the way to go. Nothing negative to say about the pre-op end.
Hi I'm Kitty and I am going through the steps to open RNY. I now weight 288 after losing 10 lbs. on the food diet. Writing down everything I eat makes me realize what I am eating and how much so I'm changing what I eat and how much I eat. That's a little start but baby steps are fine right now.

We had a wonderful time in Mocksville. We are going on another short trip Sept. 7th to VA. Then in October we are going back to NC to help my daughter put house on the market and clean out what she doesn't need and give to Store for Jesus . I'm feeling really good and will have blood work and see both Dr Chasen my surgeon and PCM D. McElmore near the first week in October. I've lost 95 lbs. and have clothes to give t someone 2,3 and 4X. If nobody needs them I will give to church.

Well I'm so nervous now the date is getting closer only 5 days till surgery. Anyone have any suggestions on how to do the cough thing without it hurting so much? I'm open for help here.
Well when I went to my Dr. McLemore Monday because I was sick they put on the scale and I weigh 281 now. I stared out 298 in Febuary . Now back to my sinuitis and broncitis. I took my last Zpac today so we will see. My throat seems to be better but I still have the cough in morning and night but it's getting better too. I hated to cancel but I knew I could windup in worse shape if I had of gone through with it. Maybe even pneumonia.
This is a story of me wanting a new life. Without c-pap & oxygen and lots of pills. Diabetes, HBP, walking problems, breathing problems ,etc. I could go on but you have heard this before. I know 1 or 2 of my medical problems can't be helped but most can be reduce or removed complete with this valuble tool that I will soon get with WLS surgery. My husband Donnie and I have been married 10 yrs. and I am blessed with 2 girls 1 boy of mine and 3 boys that or Donnie's. All together we have 15 Grandchildern. Can you see why I would want to be healthier? I'm 56 yrs. young and have been fighting weight loss all my life but the last 15 yrs. has been one medical problem after another that cause me to not be able to exercise or walk much. That's it for now.
