5 months and counting...
on July 29, 2011 5:57 am

So it's been 5 months and a couple days since my RNY and AMAZING wouldnt be a good enough word to describe this experience. I can honestly say that this is the BEST thing that I have ever done for myself. I am happier, more active, have a better outlook on life and my quality of life has improved ten-fold!! Not to mention I LOOK GREAT!!! #I'mJust Saying!
I'm still learning how to handle all the attention that I get from men now and it's so weird. I wore the below ensemble yesterday and I got at least 16 compliments from men and women alike. I'm so proud of my progress. To date I have lost a little over 50% of my excess weight. 49 lbs to go..... Wish me well!!!!

One month ago...
on March 24, 2011 4:13 am
One month ago on February 21, 2011 I had RNY. I can say that this has been a difficult journey and I know it isn't gong to get easy any time soon but I can honestly say that this has been one of the most memorable and rewarding experiences that I have had in my life. I still struglle with certain foods. I still struglle to get down my fluids and get in all my protein. I also still struggle with chewing those yucky vitamins but I would do the whole process again in a heart beat. As of my last weigh in on Monday I am down 20 pounds! That's great for only one month! I have 86lbs to go to meet my goal and I have no doubt in my mind that I made the right choice in having this surgery. I look better and health wise I feel great! To all of you contemplating this surgery, go with how you feel, but this is an AWESOME opportunity and I am so grateful that I was able to have it done!

Almost my turn!!!
on February 17, 2011 6:32 am
So yesterday I went for my last pre op appointment with my surgeon and everything went well. I have to sdmit I was super nervous that my bloodwork was gonna come back horrible and I was gonna have to be rescheduled ( I have been struggling with severe anemia and low vitamin d for the past several months) But my labs were perfect! Yayyyyy!!! Soooo.. I'm super excited. I'm on Day 8 of my Liver Shrinking Diet an surprisingly I feel great! I have even enjoyed sitting in the cafe at work with friends while they ate scrumptuous smelling food and I sipped my broth or crystal light. (Who would've thought???? Lol) Winding down, working out, preparing for my hosptial stay and gonna have a great weekend. I can feel it! I'll be on the loser's bench with you guys really soon! MOVE OVER!!!!
