Surgeon Testimonial

Robert Cole, M.D.
Dr. Cole is very straight forward and to the point. I love his approach. He takes the time to explain the positive as well as the negative. He talked of the sucesses of the surgery as well as what can happen if you do not follow the instructions for aftercare.

I am looking very forward to working with him and his staff to make this surgery a great success for me. I want to be on the losing side.

What a difference a year makes!!
on October 3, 2007 6:15 am
Well it's been almost a year since I updated this thing so here goes....a million things have changed in my life.  I am so busy now living again!  I am down to 152, a normal bmi, all my blood work is normal and I am so much healthier.  My sleep apnea is gone and my cor pulmonale is under control for the most part.  I have been so active in my community that the days just fly by.  I am now President of my American Legion Auxiliary plus I am also Secretary for the County Auxiliary.  I am busy doing something most days.  Sometimes spending hours doing different functions.  I never would have been able to do this before WLS.  I am so happy and content with my life now.....if anyone asked me if I regret any part of this journey the answer is NO.  I love life now and its great to be living it again.

I have lost a total of 211.5 lbs!!!  It is totally amazing!!  I am smaller now than I was in 5th grade!

I wish all of you the best no matter where you are in your journey and just keep thinking...it's not a diet...it's our lifestyle now.  Make the best of your lifestyle.

What a great journey this is.  I got on the scale this morning and am now at 244 so I am down an amazing 119 lbs so far.  Woooooooo Hoooooooo!!!!  I go to the gym 5 days a week and work out...I belong to the Y and they have a Ready to be Fit program that is great!  Before my surgery I didn't exercise at all.  It actually feels good now.

Went to my meeting with the dietician on the 24th and she weighed me....so far I have lost 45.8 lbs.....I made her weigh me twice just to make sure. I hugged her....I am so excited. I even did my measurements yesterday and have lost a total of 16 inches already. I know there will be many many more wow moments to come. Looking very forward to them.
