Got my 3 of 6 done...

Feb 23, 2010

Yeah!  Went to the doctors today to weigh in and get my blood drawn.  I have now almost completed three months of my six month deal.  I did not lose any weight, however, I QUIT SMOKING 10 DAYS AGO!!!!!  Considering that, I would say I am doing pretty damn good to not have gained weight!

My blood pressure and pulse were better too.  It has been so hard the last few weeks.  I had the flu, started Chantix which made me feel weird, quit smoking, and still tried to get all my water in and eat healthy.  I am good now.  I stopped Chantix once I was a week out from smoking.

I still miss smoking -- those cigs have gone through a lot with me -- it's like losing a friend.  Now, I am trying to think about the money I am saving and hope that becomes my new friend.  To celebrate, I am taking Friday off to get my hair and nails done.  I have not done that in over six months.  Well, my next appointment with the doctor is March 23rd.  I'll write then.  Take care, God Bless, and keep losing.

Waiting for the moment that my dream comes true....

Feb 12, 2010

I am not going to be writing often for right now.  I am now two months and one week into my six month diet.  I have lost 6 lbs and am training myself to drink lots of water throughout the day and try to eat every couple of hours to jump start my metabolism.  I am also taking Chantix to quit smoking.  I have vowed to be as healthy as I can for when I do have my surgery.  Chantix is a weird drug.  It takes the pleasure receptors in the brain and turns them off.  It not only affects my smoking but also my eating.  It has made me very complacent which is not what I normally am like.  My hubby loves it.  He says I haven't gotten mad since I started taking it.  I also haven't done the laundry, cleaned the house, or anything else.  He says that is the down side to the drug.  I cannot wait to get off it myself.  It is very hard to feel so even keel.

Anyway, the timing for the surgery is good.  It will be this summer.  We are moving, again.  Our lease is up in June and we need to move the kids to a better high school.  Good thing we didn't buy a house in this neighborhood.  So, we'll move and then I'll have my surgery and then the kiddo's will go back to school.  I think that is a good plan -- although I would have loved to be 60 lbs lighter this summer.  Can't have everything I guess.

Keep losing out there, keep me in your prayers, and God Bless you all.....k

Six month diet required.....again another count down

Feb 01, 2010

Heard back today.  They want six months doctor supervised diet.  URGHH.....   Ok, well I started that in December so we're down to four months and two weeks assholes....I immediately made an appointment with my PCP for tomorrow morning.  I will do this -- I will have it done --- I will make 2010 my year!  I will drink my water, exercise, take all the meds for high blood pressure and cholostrol since I have to wait, and I will have my surgery.  Damn... that pisses me off.

I will calm down.  I will understand that God has his plan.  I will try to be patient.  I will, I will, I will......
