John L. Coon, M.D., My first impression was that his office staff is very nice and helpful. Dr. Coon is also nice, knowledgeable, and I felt very comfortable talking to him and asking him questions.
When I had my surgery Dr. Coon was great. I had complications but he took good care of me. When I was in the hospital he came to see me often to make sure I was ok. 2 weeks after my surgery I had additional complications and had to go back to the hospital for a small procedure. He came to see me than and it was 10:30pm. I asked him what he was doing in this neck of the woods, and his reply was I had to make sure you were doing all right before the day ended.
I would recomend him. He has very good bedside manner. He even took out my sutchers so I didn't have to wait for the nurses.
wow is all I can say. ok all I made it out of surgery. I went in on june 5th and got out of the hospital on june 10th. This is how it started. I went into the OR at 7:24 am the Dr. started out doing the surgery lap, but after 10hrs and it wasn't going good he switched to open. Yes I was in surgery for 12hrs. I had a verticle band 18yrs ago that didn't work. So he tried to get the band off by doing it lap. It was plastic and would not come off. Also I had a whole lot of scar tissue and my stomach had fused to my spleen. this was not pretty at all. but at the end of the 12hrs(thank God for my watching over me) I am alive and he said I now have a cute little pouch.
I am very sore though. well my energy is low so I will finish updating a little later.
