Surgeon Testimonial

Carlos M Juarez M.D.
DR. Juarez is easy to talk to and I can understand him completley. He speaks both english and spanish. He explain the procedure well and was honest with all my questions. He has had no deaths and one leak.

My impression of him has not changed over time. I do not regret picking him for my surgeon.

His office staff is wonderful and they get right back with you. Everytime I have called them or needed anything they were rihght there to help me and claudia is great, I have called her several times and never did she sound annoyed. She was very pleasant and helpful everytime.

What I like least about DR. Juarez is his office is an hour away but that is no big deal.

DR. Juarez is a grat Surgeon and has good study hands. He cares about his patients and if he asks you to lose a few pounds before surgery and you dont, he will not preform surgery until you do. He needs to know you are serious about the wls. In my opinion that is a grat Doctor.

I don't know much about his aftercare because I'm only a few weeks out but he seen me the first week home and now wants to see me in 6 weeks. I have aftercare books that he sent home with me and i'm following them to a tee and im doing great. He makes sure i'm doing my protein and vitiams,he says that is very important. He also is giving me medicineto prevent gallstones and medicine to prevent ulcers.

Hey guys.. Well I'm over two and a half years out and doing great.. I had my rny July 14th of 2004.. I havent had ANY complactions and have lost all my weight.. I try to take care of myself but often forget to do my vits and all the required protein that is needed but my body reminds me and I get back on track.. Some days I feel hungry and can put some food down while other days I dont get hungry all day and end up making myself  eat.. I'm in a happy relationship and have been with him for 10 years and he has been very supportive of me with this surgery which makes it alot easier.. my diabetes is under control and I have been off all my meds from the day of my surgery..

My Story

This is my story...

I'm 35 years old and had gastric bypass surgery two and a half years ago.. i'm very happy with my decision.. I havent been over weight my whole life..Actually I was only over weight for about 5 years before I decided to have my surgery but even tho I wasent over weight my whole life it was still hard for me to lose the weight and keep it off.. My B.M.I. was at a 38 before surgery but because I had diabetes and sleep apena I was a good canidate for surgery.. To be honest it was real easy for me to lose the weight and it has been just as easy for me to keep it off( so far).. I'm a little underweight right now but I'm trying to gain some back.. my whole family has always had the genes of gaining real fast and losing real fast so I figure I just follow in my family genes..i still have my gallbladder in and so far hasent had any issues with that.. I'm so scared of getting gall stones because I hear it's the worst pain you will ever fill so lets pray that never happens.. I never felt one oounce of pain from my surgery.. After my DOctor did surgery on me I had to look down to see if he actually even did it.. LOL.. I didnt lose real fast but it was study and about 8 months out I was to goal.. My mother in law and sister in law also had the surgery (after me) and they are doing great as well.. I usually dont drink with my meals but i have started to recently when I got down to 105 pounds because I really needed to gain a little back and now I'm up to 110 pounds so I do think drinking with your meals plays a factor on your weight.. i needed to strech my pouch out a little and I can actually eat more food now that I started drinking with my meals.. I have four children and have been with my honey for 10 years and thank god he is very supportive of my surgery.. I am verry happy today..
