kviau's Journey Click Here To View Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery. lots of stress....!!!! marrital problems, kids, work...bla bla bla....had breakdowns, i know now it was an abusive relationship and it still continues thru the kids... during the marriage i was so busy trying to do everything for everyone and forgot about myself. then BOOM i get rid. of the husband and start working on me. it's been 4 years, i've had great support from family and therapist, i didn't realize how far down that i was. even now, when i think i've finally broken through, i have another. of course there's always set back. everytime i have one, i think about how much worse i would have been if i hadn't left. hi, my name is kim. i started off with my surgical assessment on may 6th 2011. as of today, august 21, 2012, i'm just waiting on my final blood work results, before moving to the surgical class, then surgery. i weight 243lbs. i have diabetes, HBP, SVT's, osteo arthritis, fibro, IBS, DDD. acid reflux. ( i think that's all. lol) i'm looking forward to loosing weight, hoping it will help with some things. i know it won't help with others, but just knowing that it might is enough for me!! another member of my family is also having the procedure done, so i feel blessed that we will have each other to compare notes and support each other! she is the one that introduced me to OH and to the monthly meeting in our community! there are a lot of us big people out there that don't know about this website and all that it can do. it's an amazing website! best of luck to all! kim
