Surgeon Testimonial

Robert O'Rourke
My first impression was great. I was late to my appointment (my bad) and he had no need to see me. I had met with one of his collegues and was able to answer/ask all of my questions I had. He went out of his way to meet my wife and I. He wanted to meet to see if there was anything he could do or if I had any questions. He was very professional and clear with the plans.

The staff called me and let me know I had missed my appointment and reschedule me for the same day. They were also great.

I was able to complete all of the required admittance paperwork on the same day as my appointment with the doctor. So, all I have to do is show up and get a room on the day of surgury.

Overall, I have not had a bad experience yet. One negative thing would be the parking at OSHU is not great for a larger vehicle. But, there is a lot of construction going on now. That could change in the future.

HI! My name is Jerry. I've been fighting my weight for over 20+ years. After trying what seems to be every diet out there I decide to investigate bariactrric surgery. After weighing my options I decided to hae the RNY. I want to say one thing negitive about my choice of having RNY and that would be I should have done it years earlier. It is by far the best choice I have ever made. It has made a world of difference in my life. I am so happy I did it.

Well it's been 2 Years! w00t!

Well 2 years today since I have became a Loser! I am doing well. I bottomed out at 201. I gained a few back, but I have been + or- a couple lbs of 215 for over a year. Seeing that I started out at 351 lbs I will call it a success. I would like to see 199, but I will take what I have and feel blessed.

My wife has been jumping thru the hoops to have the surgery herself. Been a pain, but I know it will be all worth the effort once it is all done. Life changing is all I can say.

I still find it weird being smaller than a lot of people I know. I was always use to being the big man. I never want to be that man again.

Went home for my nephews wedding and think I surprized my family with the changes in me. They had not seen me this size since I was in high school. Happy would not explain how I feel about that.  Bring on my 25 year high school reunion. I am ready.

In the next year my focus is to keep watching my diet. Make sure I keep on my Vitamins, keep tabs on my weight and help my wife thru her surgery. She was there for me and I will be there for her.

Till next time
Jerry
