Hello OH family... Sorry it took me so long to update after my surgery.  I am doing very good all praises to God.  Thanks for all of the prayers and positive thoughts from everyone.  As of 3 weeks after surgery I lost 27lbs, I haven't weighed myself since then because I don't want to be obsessed with the scale so I have decided at this point I will not weigh myself only when I to the doctors.  I have been having a hard time excepting what I have done by getting the GBP surgery, not being sure that I did the right thing. It is hard adjusting to this new life style because I think that I am afraid of failure I often think that I am not using my tool properly and I am not going to lose the weight that I want or should even after I went the all of this.  I need my OH family to keep me focused and positive, I also need advice on different products, ways to get everything in a day as well as things that really works to help us be sucessfull on this journey.

Well my date is scheduled and I am kind of nervous and very anxious there are so many mixed emotions going on but one thing I am sure of  and that is that God will bring me through.

I am hoping to have my surgery sometime in December don't have an official date yet but was told it could be within a month.  Looking for people to help with encouragement, honesty and friendship to get me through.

My Story

My name is the Angela and my story is the same as all the rest.  I  have been over weight my entire life since I can remember.   I just remember being always bigger than others in my age group.  I am 42 years old and ready to change things in my life as I have been diagnosed with diabetes earlier this year and that has scared me because I know how that disease and the medications destroys you.  This is my  third time making the attempt at getting the gastric by pass, the first time my mother eas really afraid for me to get it so I didn't go through with it, the 2nd time which was in 2007 I backed out myself because of my own fears, this time thanks to this website and a couple of other people I am hoping to have the strength and courage to go through with it.
