It doesn't hurt to ask if you can schedule your appointment with one of his colleagues. Can you call and talk with a nurse about questions you may have. My surgeon was great before surgery and after surgery until I was about 3mons out. Then I had to start asking questions to the nurses or the general practitioner the office had. They all were very knowledgeable so I felt like I was in good hands.

I just wanted to tell you I'm sorry you got the blowoff from your surgeon. No, it's NOT all in your head. It takes some guts to call the office & ask to speak to the surgeon, & tell him exactly what you told us here on your post. This is YOUR LIFE, YOUR MONEY. I don't care if your insurance covered most of it or not. Your surgeon made A LOT of money from your surgery. You should just read from this post when you talk to him (even if you have to ask the nurse or receptionist to have him call you back later on your cell, like making an appointment). I think if that surgeon knows you're on a public WLS forum & you'll be reporting to OH about how good or bad your surgeon was with his followup, he'll be right there for you from now on!
