I met Dr Meilhan at Temple Hospital in Philadelphia in the summer of 2006.  I had my surgery Nov 13, 2006. My starting weight was 258 pounds.  I am just under 5' 3".  I now weight 130 lbs.  I have gotten my group exercise instructor certification and now teach a Step and Sculpt class at the gym every week.  I am more active than I would have ever thought possible.  It has made such a big change in how I view myself and how other people view me.  I not in a relationship. Can not seem to find Mr Right for me. I am happy with the changes in my life though and would do the surgery again in a heartbeat.  I was very fortunate and never had any problems. I do have skin that I would love to have removed but that just is not an option for me financially.  I still think I look pretty darn good in my clothes. I love buying clothes and I love shoes. Never really cared for shoes when I was heavy.  I love reading everyone's profile and I stay encouraged and motivated by the experiences of so many wonderful people.  Stay strong and remember, you made this change for YOU!
