On the 8th day ...

I made it !  8 days out of surgery and on my way to starting pureed foods. I have to say , I have never been so excited to eat a scrambled egg ( and boy was it good ) . I was so worried about chewing it to the right consistency , I chewed the heck out of each bite ! 

I have each meal planned out for the rest of the day and I am curious to see what my pouch will allow. Hopefully it will agree with my choices and make this an easy transition.

I am excited for my new life ! 

15lbs since surgery !

So Friday morning at 7:45 AM my life was changed for ever ! I was given the tool that is going to help me become the healthy person I was always meant to be .

I have been up and walking around the hospital floor that I am on. One of the nurses told me that if I do 15 laps that it is equal to one mile . So yesterday I set my goal as walking that one mile , and I did it !

Right now I am working on getting my liquids in (4 oz an hour ) ... Personally I think the nurses are crazy for having me drink that much because they tell me that my pouch can only hold 1 oz right now . But I keep sipping slowly and work on keeping those liquids down .

As of now I feel great !
