My Story

Hi, my name is Larisa and I am a 40 year old mother of 3. I had thought of this surgery for the last few years and fianlly after my doctors nurse talked to me about it I got the ball rolling. I had been heavy for the last 15 years of so gradually getting bigger with every year. I guess I would say I have been over 200lb for the last 6 years of so. I was diagnoised with PCOS whily trying to conceive my first child and found out I was insulin resistant also. My doctors contribute a huge portion of this weight gain to the insulin problem and I was afriad I was going to go type 2. After being insulin dependent for the last 12 weeks of my pregnancy I never want to do that again. After 3 years of infertility drugs my weight went from 205-206 to 225 and wouldnt budge. I found I lost while pregnant and then gained it back while once again trying for another child and was 225 again when I conceived the twins. My weight with them when I delivered was 256 (exact where I was when I had surgery) and 2 weeks later I was 206.  I had my RNY surgery 1/5/06 and it wasnt easy but I dont regret a moment of the last year.  I hit my doctors goal of 150 about 8 months later and hit my goal of 130 a few months later.  I am now weighting between 116-118 depending on the time of the month or just what ever.  I have tried to increase my calories to maintain 125 but its just too hard and if I come below 2300 calories it just comes right back off again so I am not going to worry about it.  110-115 was my normal weight before this roller coaster started so I figure that will be my normal weight again.  I am having a tummy tuck, breast lift nd breast augmentation 3/7/07 and finally I feel I will look sexy again.
