Guess what yall I was officially approved for lap band surgery! I got the call today at 3:30p I was at home asleep and was caught off guard I was expecting the approval maybe after my last appointment with the surgeon that wasn't until this coming Monday so I am so excited, nervous and scared all at the same time. I need words of encouragement!  My surgery is set for May 17, 2010 at noon! WOW I am still in shock I needed some good news I tell you this month along has been a challenge for me financially physically and yes spiritually and to top it off I head car accident that was my fault. Keep a sista in prayer

Ok.... May 3 is the day I will be attempting to obtain a medical clearance from PCP and I also will  have my final appointment with Dr Bass. I am nervous,excited and not sure what else! I have Aetna insurance so hopefully I will be able to obtain my approval quickly I do have a surgery date already scheduled for May 17 at 12noon, on May 6 I have a Pre-op educational class and on May 10 I have my mini visit with the nutritionist. Keep me in prayer that all goes well. For those of you had surgery already I have a question I have Aetna as I mentioned before I have 80% is covered by insurance 20% is covered by myself a maximum out of pocket of $2000 my question will I have a separate bill from the anesthesiologist and Md office or how does this works?

Ok I went to the surgeon office today (second visit) I am please to share I lost 9 pounds and I haven't even had the surgery yet! I am scheduled heavy the remainder of this month and the first part of May to complete all the requirements! I was also diagnose with Hpylori so I have to take a 14 day regimen consisting of prevacid,clathyromycin and amoxicillin to treat the infection in my stomach and I also have to take vitamin d once a week for low calcium. I am encourage and remaing stead fast I've been working hard  and it will pay off. Keep me in prayer my medical bills are accumalating quickly with all the copayments,deductibles etc... but I will do my best to pay what  can if I have to make payment arrangements good and if not then what is my options LOL! My target surgery date is 5/17 at noon Sugreon Dr. Thomas Bass!

Ok My second visit is on Wednesday I am so nervous  not sure why then I met I have to over the phone session with my   nutrionist have any of you ever had this before? If al goes well I will be having surgery on May 17! The company I work for is switching insurance carrier as of June 1 so the bariatric coordinator is pushing for me to have surgery before this happens otherwise i would have to go through United Health and start the process all overKeep me in prayers that the lord allow me to have surgery before this happens!
