3 weeks post lbl/bl

Yesterday I had my 3 week follow-up appointment with Dr.LoMonaco. It went well and he said I am healing ahead of schedule. They did an ultrasound to check for hidden pockets of fluid (there were none) and removed some sutures that had poked through the surface. I am off most restrictions now. He said I can walk, use the treadmill, elliptical, and even lift light handweights. Of course there is no heavy lifting or abdominal stuff allowed yet, but at least I can do more now.

I'm still swollen, but I made him promise I will not be the one to end up bigger than I started...lol. Pre-op my waist was 27". 4 days post-op I measured and my waist was 31" and now it has been 29" for a week or so. None of my clothes fit. I can't wait for the swelling to do down!! 

Even with the swelling, I love my results already. Dr. L is a miracle worker. My body was a complete mess and now I feel "whole" again. I feel great and my energy is slowly but surely coming back.

This Friday I am going to get a lymphatic massage. I hope it will help with the swelling. My next follow up appointment is in 3 weeks.

18 days post-plastics

I'm allowed one trip out of the house a day. Yesterday my girls and I went to the Sweet 16 party for one of my favorite students. It was the first time I fixed myself up since my plastic surgery 18 days ago. My girls had a great time dancing and I had a great time sitting and watching them have fun. We did not stay long but it felt so good to get out of the house. I'm still swollen, but it's getting better everyday...

2 square feet of skin weighing 5 pounds!!

I had forgotten to ask Dr.LoMonaco how much skin he removed during my lower body lift/breast lift. I e-mailed him yesterday and he responded today:
2 square feet weighing 5 pounds were removed. Wow!!

12 days post-plastics

12 days ago I had my lower body lift with buttock auto-augmentation and breast lift. I am so thankful to Dr.LoMonaco and his staff. They are wonderful and I am thrilled with my results. Right now I'm battling swelling, but I know the results will keep getting better and better. Before surgery my waist was 27 inches and now with swelling it is 31.

I'm off all pain meds now and feel great. I'm still not walking completely upright, but pretty close. I seem to be healing very well.

I went in for a post-op appointment today. My last 2 drains were removed, thank goodness! I also had an untrasound to make sure there were no pockets of fluid under my skin. All is well and I go back to see Dr. LoMonaco in 7-10 days.
