Tuesday is your day! Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. 5 weeks post-op

well, it's hard to believe it's already been a little over 5 weeks since surgery. I've had a few setbacks, but none too bad. I can't believe I can walk a 1/2 a mile without stopping and taking a break and being out of breath. It's been over 6 months since I've had a cig, and I've lost 46# so far. I've starting walking on the elliptical and can do 1/2 a mile in 14 minutes, before I was lucky to be able to use the elliptical for 7 minutes. I'm already doing some research on some hiking trails that my husband and I and our 3 teenage boys can go on as soon as the ground dries up some. This surgery has given me back my life, little by little I'm able to live again.

Hey Lavendarfirefly, thanks so much for being 'my friend'. I see that we had our surgery within 2 days of each other. I had mine on the 5th of feb. I am now 5 weeks post op. I am going back to work on Monday. I am glad you are doing so well. I feel the same as you in reference to a new life. I am excited about being healthier and thinner. I hope to chat with you again.
