Just got back from my 2 week post op and I am down another 6 pounds.  So total 32 since Jan but a whopping 19 since surgery!!!!!!

Just a breif note yesterday (7 days out) I had a appt with my PCP for a check up and I am down 13 pounds!!!!  
This morning I walked for about 30 mins and it wasnt to bad.  Just seems I get so tired so quick since surgery.
Considering before surgery I could walk for over an hour and not need to rest.  

So let see I have to start from surgery day on.  So lets start with Thurs AM. Its was a pretty quick process getting checked in and all the preop stuff like the iv's and such.  I met with the dr and the pain people and all that good stuff and before I knew it they told me to go to a good place.  So they tell me I was only in there a little more than 2 hours seemed like seconds to me since I was knocked out.  So I remember waking up a little out of it them rolling me to my room and my mom and G-mom coming in.  That was great since I then realized I was still here LOL.  Silly right well not for me I wanted to make sure I was still gonna be around to raise this great little boy I have.  So Thurs I was in and out of it most of the rest of the day.  Slept as much as I could with out people poking and prodding me.  But Thurs night was another story had this unbareable pain in my left chest area (kinda under my boob) and it was moving across like over to the the right side.  So the Dr came in decided to do a EKG and some blood work and everything came back fine.  So after a little extra pain med than I had been getting I finally did get some sleep.   The nurse came in Friday AM to removed the catherter and as she did she nudged my drain tube a little and OMG that was pain problem I was having.  She said that sometimes the drain hits a nerve and causes that pain.  I said well you would think that they would have thought of that last night when they had me thinking I was having a damn heart attack!!!!!!!
So Friday I got up and started walking a little.  Very sore to get up but once I was up I was good.  Still really tired sleep a bit.  Sat morning I get up they tell me I will be released my noon so I think I will get a shower here since the shower seemed more accessable.  Get 100% into the shower and NO HOT WATER how does that happen at JOHNS HOPKINS BAYVIEW.  So I got dressed got over and was released. 

The ride home wasnt to bad.  I came in took a shower some pain med and took at nap.  Then watched some movies and layed around a little.  I did much better with the steps then I thought I would. 

Sun I had a great morning playing games with my son and then all of a sudden GAS came and OMG did it come I thought I was gonna scream and could not pass any of it.  Took a couple Gas X and got much better.  Finally had a BM that night and wow what a feeling LOL sorry TMI...

Mon (Today) I got up with my son for school.  They decided to have a half a day for the heat.  He had his end of the yr picnic so I went over for that and then had to go to GNC for a couple things and now I am exhausted.  
I am little sore today with a little gas too.  But over all not bad at all.

So tomorrow is the 1st day of the rest of my life!!  Its the big day and my emotions are all over the place. One minute I am happy the next I am glad then even scared.  So yeah I am really do get it over with just hope everything works out and I can be sucessful at this.  So I am off to get my bag and my sons bags packed then to do some last minute things and I will update soon.  Wish me luck and send me your prayers. 

So I have a little catching up to do.  Let see I found out on Thurs 5/22/08 that my insurance approved me.  After a few days of being on the phone with the insurance co and talking to supervisors at work today I found out I have a DATE!!!!!!!!!!!!  Yes its June 5th, 2008.  So now I am freaking out a little trying to figure out what I need to get and trying to get all these pre opt appts done in just a few days.  So I need to get a shopping list done and get that much out of the way.  I am going to try to update regularly.
