Hello everyone. My name is Lisa and I hope to be having a Gastric Bypass very soon. I am mother of two beautiful boys and a wife of 13 yrs to my husband. I have been dealing with my weight issues ever since I had my second son. When I met my husband I was 115lbs after I had my second son I went all the way up to 257 lbs. I have been dieting, taking pills & trying to go to the gym. I was on Phentermine for a while and I went down all the way to 183 lbs. But those pills were driving my nervous system insane. As soon as I got off of them the weight started to creep back on. Currently I am 230 and have been going through a lot with my knees and ankles.
My pcp requested that I look into WLS and I am so happy that he is behind me %100.

My second level of appeal

Yes it got approved.  I can't even believe it myself.  My date is scheduled for 6/26/08 and I go for all my pre-op testing on 6/11/08.   Wow I am kind of going crazy because there are so many things happening in the month of June.  But I wouldn't change it for the world.

Tentative date

Well I have a date providing the insurance approves everything.
My surgery is scheduled for April 4th.  I have to start my low carb diet on 3/25/08 which consists of 1 slim fast for breakfast, 1 for lunch and a healthy dinner.  On 3/26/08 I will be meeting with the surgeon and nurse to go over a couple of things and then go for all my pre op testing. 

I just PRAY that God blesses me with the approval!  And I am sure he will.

I would also like to wish My husband a Happy Birthday today and we are married 11 yrs today....
