11 Month Weight Loss

I'm down 4 pounds for this, my 11 month postop. That makes a total of about 93 pounds so far. With averaging 4 pounds a month at this stage, I don't think I'll make it to century club by my one year surgeryversary next month. Oh well.....hopefully by CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just HAD to have this scrub top because of the CUTE print/colors on it! But the biggest size they had it in was SMALL! Well, I got into it! I won't wear it as a scrub, because it's too tight and too cute for that, but I got into a small! My daughter got one in the SAME SIZE! You can see in the pic that I fill mine out a lot more than she does hers. But I got into a size SMALL -- BOOYAH!
OH, and the print is so cute I scanned it and put it up on my blog as the wallpaper!

Jinjer and I met for brunch today with my mom who also plans to go to Dr. Smith for a DS. Jinjer's a typical DSer--beautiful, ultra smart, sweet, don't take no crap! She's got the perfect personality for working her DS tool despite the ignorance she'll face in the medical community! She spells her name for real with the "Js." Isn't that pretty?!
So, we'll hafta meet up again sometime when the other North Alabamian DS Dining club members can join us! I look forward to seeing her again!

FREE (for DSers) Soup Recipe

Yanno how at Weight Watchers they have the "free" soup -- eat as much as you want? It's like water, pkg. ranch dressing mix, cabbage, onions, some other veggies, etc....It's really gross, but you can eat all ya want!
Well, I consider THIS my free soup with my DS....I've been eating it all day. It's virtually CARB FREE, got some protein, and plenty of fat -- and it's very yummy. It's the Tuscana Soup they serve at Olive Garden, minus the potatoes--I just add extra kale instead:
2 qts water
4 chicken boullion cubes
1/2 pkt onion soup mix
1 bunch kale (chopped)
1 slice bacon (for flavor--remove after cooking)
2 lbs. ground Italian sausage
1 pint heavy cream
garlic salt (to taste)
Brown the sausage and drain off the fat. Combine with other ingredients in big pot and simmer for awhile until veggies are tender. ENJOY! Should be good on cold winter nights comin' up!

I got some Edy's Slow Churned Sugar Free icecream. I see the big SPLENDA emblem on the front, so I figure it's okay to eat! Well,
H MY the GAS! I'm thinking my DS is broken ... that I LIED on the lapband board that we don't need diapers! I decide to look carefully at the Edy's label. Reading the ingredients, I notice it contains 
SATAN in the form of MALTITOL! There is even a little "*" next to the maltitol which reads, " may have a laxative-like effect on sensitive individuals." GEE, YA THINK?! Grrrrrr! Poisoned again!
Be careful with sugar-free foods. You might think your DS is the culprit of your gas, when it's really SATAN aka MALTITOL!
