Surgeon Testimonial

Gilberto Ungson, M.D.
Dr. Ungson is an amazing surgeon with a phenomenal record. He has done some very difficult revision cases and really does a nice DS procedure. The care I received at CIMA hospital in Mexico was outstanding--better care than I would've received in the states. Dr. Ungson is a brilliant and world-class DS surgeon. See my Nov. and Dec. 2005 blog archives to see a LONG list of his patients and links to their profiles where you can read their coments touting the stellar care and treatment they received in Hermosillo, MX. My mother, an RN of 40 years, went with me when I had my surgery in Mexico and was just BLOWN AWAY by how first-class my care was. The hospital is a swanky resort-type place for cash-paying Americanos and upper-class Mexicans. The patients there are treated like royalty. rnrnAn English to Spanish phrase translator pamphlet may be of help in communicating with the nurses, but it was really not a huge problem. Dr. Ungson's nurses and staff were attentive, professional and incredibly competent. I would never hesitate to refer anyone for surgery with Dr. Ungson and his team at CIMA Hospital in Hermosillo, Mexico.rn

Happy Birthday Tonya!
on June 26, 2007 3:10 pm

Yes, I have a 22 year old daughter. We went out to RedLobster tonight for her birthday, and I made her a cake. Well, I "edited" a cake from WalMart. I got a 2-layer cake and removed the top layer, then added a brick-shaped chocolate fudge cake on top and decorated it with white icing, choc chips, etc. to look like this (the tail was MONEY!):

Yeh, yeh, everybody was impressed, but it really looked pretty goofy! Here's a video I took with my cell phone:

Man vs. Wild
on June 13, 2007 1:26 pm
Warning, this post contains some entirely sickening content!  NOT to be read by those that are in the squeamish stage of things!

My hubby is so adventurous -- NOT!  He's been complaining about the few bug bites he has from his latest foray into the outdoors for a run with the dogs.  (He claims there are no ticks, mosquitoes, poisonous snakes and spiders in England).  I told him I don't at all feel his pain! --  cuz I watch Man vs. Wild on the Discovery Channel.  (Yeh, I'm adventurous, too -- with television programs!  LOL!)  The guy on this program (called "Bear," happens to ALSO be British) strands himself in popular wilderness destinations where tourists often find themselves lost or in danger.   Then he procedes to demonstrate how to survive under the harshest extremes and find his way out of each situation alive.  He does things like squeeze drinking water (in the desert) from elephant dung, will feed on such delicacies as abandoned zebra carcasses; water snakes (which he bites the head off of before slurping down the rest of the squiggly body);  grubs;  termites;  fresh fish right from the frozen lake, still flapping.   He even picks maggots off of dead carcasses and puts them in his pocket to take with him as a snack for later!  I laugh that this is so unlike the Crocodile Hunter who would catch snakes and reptiles and declare, "What a little beauty!"  This guy catches them and snaps their head off and swallows them whole!  EGAD!!!  Anyhow, I told hubby if he REALLY wants to avoid those bug bites, he should do what Bear does and start a fire with dried bat dung and then fumigate himself with the smoke -- A surefire way to keep the mosquitos at bay!  Yep, I certainly ain't feelin' Hubby's pain!  What a WHINER!  LOL!

I just sold the little chihuahua puppy on the left, and the people said they were gonna name her "LOLA," which they said stands for Laughing Out Loud Always.   How sweet is that?!  LOL (Always)!
