BC/BS of AL doesn't suck so bad after all! Just got my approval for "excision excessive skin and subcutaneous tissue including lipectomy." Surgery scheduled for September 12!!!

North Alabama DSers is growing!  We have a new member.  Yawl please welcome, SUSIE!  Susie's scheduled for DS with Dr. Smith on the 28th!  Woo-Hoo!  Isn't she BEAUTIFUL?!  She is gonna be the most beautiful GRANDMA, ever!  Can you BELIEVE she's got 5 grandkids?!  Anyway, Susie is lurking here, and I've told her if she wants, she can come out of lurkdom and tell us, HI!  But, if not, that's fine, too.  Whatever is most comfortable for her.  But, yawl, send much love and well wishes Susie's way for a smooth surgery and recovery!

Anne S. has been such a giving and loving force on the DS board for so many years while she watched generation after generation of DS sisters getting switched before her while she waited patiently. Finally IT'S Anne's TURN! And it's about DANG time, is all I can say! We certainly sent Anne off in ROYAL STYLE for her DS with Dr. Smith on July 31! BabyCatcher drove all the way from Daytona Florida to throw Anne this bash. Can you say, WENT OUT OF HER WAY to make this happen for Sweet Anne. Seriously, BabyCatcher really went the extra mile with all the hard work she put into this shindig, and we should all thank her profusely for putting on such a nice party!

Renae was our excellent host and made all the arrangements and restaurant reservations.

So, first things first! We ate EXCELLENT FOOD (scroll over each entree for a closeup view if ya wanna get HUNGRY!):

Then it was time for Anne to unwrap her PREZZIES! Yep, that's right, BabyCatcher came prepared with PRESENTS wrapped in bright gift paper, making this the first ever EVER DS SHOWER, and our Anne was the all-deserving guest of honor! The goodies unwrapped included DS-pertinent essentials such as air fresheners, scented candles, babywipes, and, of course, SCENTED BUBBLES for when Dear Anne is sitting on the loo and bored to give herself something for entertainment!:

Also in BabyCatcher's bag of goodies was the proverbial DIAPER:

As a GAG GIFT, cuz you all KNOW we don't really need DIAPERS, even though there are certain others that have a different WLS type that try to SAY we do!

After the prezzies were all unwrapped, it was time for, you guessed it....DESSERT:

That's KEYLIME PIE, TURTLE CHEESECAKE and CHOCOLATE CRUNCH CAKE to all you out there in "I WISH" RNY HELL! LOL!

Well, then we just all had such a sugar high, that the LAMPSHADES came out! Yes, BabyCatcher custom made these lampshades with all her artistic talent and ability specifically for this function! Check out how HAWT we all look dancing around with lampshades on our heads:

Met up in Nashville last Saturday with the TN DSers, and we had a blast of a good time! We started out with dinner at Cracker Barrel for some good country cookin', family fun and........DENNIE!!! YAY! What a sweet lady in waiting. Yawl wish her luck that her DS plans solidify soon.

But Jaime and I had on our fancy BOOGIE SHOES: So, after Cracker Barrel we headed out minus the kiddos to a swankier restaurant (lounge at the Embassy Suites) for DRINKS and DESSERTS!
