These are some pics taken around Kryst's of her home, car, neighborhood and South Staten Island Beach just about a mile or so from her house.  The bridge in the background is the Verrazano:

The Verrazano-Narrows Bridge is a double-decked suspension bridge that connects the boroughs of Staten Island and Brooklyn in New York City at the Narrows, the reach connecting the relatively protected upper bay with the larger lower bay.

The bridge is named for Italian explorer Giovanni da Verrazzano, the first known European navigator to enter New York Harbor and the Hudson River, while crossing The Narrows. It has a center span of 4,260 feet (1,298 m) and was the largest suspension bridge in the world at the time of its completion in 1964, until it was surpassed by the Humber Bridge in the United Kingdom in 1981. It now has the eighth longest center span in the world, and is the largest suspension bridge in the United States. Its massive towers can be seen throughout a good part of the New York metropolitan area, including from spots in all five boroughs of New York City.

The bridge furnishes a critical link in the local and regional highway system. It is the starting point of the New York City Marathon. The bridge marks the gateway to New York Harbor; all cruise ships and most container ships arriving at the Port of New York and New Jersey must pass underneath the bridge. Most ships must be built to accommodate the clearance under the bridge

Among local residents, it is often referred to as simply "the Verrazano".

This is the corner of Surf Avenue and West10th Street.

And we all lived to tell the story! hehe!!

The NADS met for lunch in Florence the end of August to celebrate Anna and Laura's DS surgeries coming up quick next month (Laura Sep 10, Anna Sep 17).  Ronnie was about 6 weeks out from her switch with Dr. Anthone and doing fine and down over a couple dozen pounds.  

The Florence NADS are gettin' 'er DONE!!

It's 6:30 am here and as usual I'm awake, but our sweet lil LeaAnn is sleepin all comfy cozy with her hubby.. She had a long day yesterday with the flights and all, then we went out to eat, theeeeeen we went to the City (Manhattan)...  lol she hasn't seen anything yet! I got alot more shit planned her her southern ass hehehehe.. I'm sure she'll be posting once she's up and about, after that very first yummy cuppa cawwwfeeeeee... Kryst
