Surgeon Testimonial Peter Frederick Crookes M.D., F.R.C.S., F.A.C.S. Dr. Crookes is an amazing surgeon! Love the Irish accent! When I first met him, we spent a long time together going over each of the surgeries he does (he does them all) and he explained the pro's and con's of each. Every question I asked was answered honestly. The decision was mine as to which surgery I could live with for the rest of my life. I chose the duodenal switch and he agreed that it was a good choice for me. During my hospital stay he visited me every day and literally held my hand and made sure I was pain free and doing well. During follow-up visits, he still took the time to answer all my questions. I've never felt rushed when speaking to him. He is a wonderful man and an excellent surgeon. Bathingsuit Shopping- Nightmare!!
Well, I got invited over to my friends house with Richie(my 4 year old) to go swimming since her daughter was in town with her 7 year old. The only bathing suit I had was one from when I squeezed into a size 26!! I tried it on and well, it's just NOT going to cut it! So off to Target I go. What a dissappointment!! There were TONS of bikinis! Tops and bottoms of every shape and size. Only a few one pieces and those were cut super high at the leg and super low on the chest and arms. This pre-plastics body needed a lot more coverage. I even went to the plus size. Those suits would have been perfect! Cut up nice and high under the arms with cute little skirts! But the smallest one, a size 16, was way too big! Close by, I spotted a maternity suit and tried it on. It sort of worked, but the top (it was a 2 piece) only went down as far as a t-shirt. I wanted a skirt to cover up these scary inner thighs!! Well, I bought the suit and had my husband make me a little skirt of matching yellow spandex I had laying around. It came out pretty cute! I don't have pictures of the skirt since he made that later in the evening after I took these pictures. Notice no inner thigh shots and clever arm positioning!   These pictures make me want plastic surgery even more. I know it will take care of my lumpy thighs in the back and definitely the hernia, which I was pushing in in the pictures. ~sigh~ Pass the iron...... 1 Comment(s)
