Surgeon Testimonial

Christopher Evanson, M.D.
My first impression of Dr. Evanson was that he seemed to be very knowledgable about the surgeries and he has a great sense of humor. His staff are all very nice and know what they need from you so that you can hopefully be approved the first time with no denials. They were very informative. Dr Evanson is also very up front and tells you what to expect and what he recommends for after your surgery. He was also the guest speaker at my second support group and answered a lot of good questions for those people who are getting ready to have this done or who have had it done.

Dear Jacque, You will be in my prayers for a smooth starting on your journey. And I know you have heard this before but you are gonna hear it again, SIP>SIP>SIP & WALK>WALK>WALK. IT really does help. So, I'll see you on the "losers" side. And I wish for you a speedy recovery. Love ya, Lots of Hugs and Many Blessings, Gail Owens

1 MONTH FOLLOW UP
on July 3, 2008 10:04 am

I just got back from Dr Evanson's office for my 1 month checkup.  I am down 28lbs and am really excited about this.  I also met with the Dietician and hopefully might have found some ways to get my protein in.

FEEL BETTER
on July 1, 2008 12:17 pm
7/1/08 Yesterday and today I actually feel human again.  My stomach is still tender but not having pain in it like before.  I have been able to eat some crackers and I think that has also made me feel better.  I ate strawberries last night for supper and tried 2 bites of corn (my dad got yesterday) it was so good.  I also tried 2 very small pieces of watemelon.  Everything seemed to work out ok but I will not push it.  I have felt so good compared to what I have been feeling that I would hate to push my limits and be sick again.

BAD WEEKEND
on June 23, 2008 2:04 pm
6/21/08 I had to work today but only until noon.  When I got home we took the boys to get a haircut.  Jacob wanted a mohawk (which he got) and he looks so cute with his hair like that.  Brayton only wanted his bangs spiked up (which he looks so cute) but he wants his bangs red.  I will see about doing that one day next week.  I did not have the best of days on Saturday.  I tried to get protein in but man am I struggling.

6/22/08 Sunday was not a good day at all.  Did laundry all day.  Nothing taste good, nothing sounds good.  I cried and I also slept all day (5pm to be exact).  I can't find anything that I like at this point.  What's a girl to do.

ROUGH DAY
on June 18, 2008 8:36 am
Today has been a very rough start.  I know its because I am not getting my protein in.  I am going to go somewhere today and see if I can find the Atkins Cafe' Carmel and see if I like it.  I just feel really weak and tired today.  I have got to start getting my protein in.  Wish me luck!
