Christopher Evanson, M.D. My first impression of Dr. Evanson was that he seemed to be very knowledgable about the surgeries and he has a great sense of humor. His staff are all very nice and know what they need from you so that you can hopefully be approved the first time with no denials. They were very informative. Dr Evanson is also very up front and tells you what to expect and what he recommends for after your surgery. He was also the guest speaker at my second support group and answered a lot of good questions for those people who are getting ready to have this done or who have had it done.

WHOOOO HOOOOO! I FINALLY GOT A DATE! JUNE 4TH 2008 AT 8:30AM I WILL BECOME A LOSER!!!!! I AM SO EXCITED BUT NERVOUS AT THE SAME TIME. I CALLED AND THEY HAD JUST PUT MY DATE IN THE COMPUTER SYSTEM TODAY. 12 MORE WEEKS. I HAVE LOTS TO DO BEFORE THEN. WISH ME LUCK THAT I GET EVERYTHING DONE AND READY!
I took it upon myself to email Colleen on 2/22/08 and see if we were any closer on a surgery date. I received a email back from her stating they were in the middle of going to electronic medical files and to hang in there. That is easier said then done when you are on this side and waiting. I just wish I would get a date so that I can start getting things in order. Not much I can do except WAIT! I don't want to be a pain in their side so I will try to be patient.
I heard from Dr Evanson's office this morning via email. Colleen from there told me that it would be 10-14 days before I would have my date because there is so much paperwork to do between his office and the hospital in order to get this done. So I am still on my waiting game but getting closer everyday.
I received my approval letter from UHC on 2/14/08. I faxed this to Dr Evanson's office just in case they hadn't received their copy yet. I have not heard back from the Dr's office but I am hoping to hear something early next week with a date. I am getting antsy! Anyone have any suggestions on what to do? Should I call them or email them again or just sit tight and wait?
thanks
I called the insurance again this morning. Can't tell that I am anxious can you? The lady I spoke to this morning told me that I had been approved and that letters were sent out to me, the Dr's office and St Vincent Carmel. I called Dr Evanson's office and she told me when they get their letter they will call me with a date. I hope its soon! I am not a very patient person!!!!
