I'm very proud of myself today i exercised today outside of walking for 20mins. Only 1 week post op.

My Story

Hello my name is LaCarol. I started my weightloss journey a year ago. Dr. Stefanidis is my surgeon he is apart of Carolina Weightloss Management in Charlotte NC. At first I wanted the Gastric bypass but after the first Endoscopy that was out of the question. I had Hyplori which can lead to ulcers. It took 2 rounds of antibiotics to get rid of it. I was miserable I even gave up on having the surgery. Thank goodness I had support from my family and friends they helped me throw dark times. I had 3 Endoscopy done before I received by clearance to proceed. So they applied for my surgery Mar.1 I was approved Mar.8 yeah! But It was for the wrong procedure Bypass. So they had to resubmit the information again Mar.14. I was approved by Mar.22. I received my call to schedule my surgery date is May 4,2011. I am so happy. I've been over weight all my life. So I'm looking forward to be a thinner and healther LaCarol. I have type 2 Diabetes. I'm fortunate not to have high blood pressure that runs in my family.
