Here is my Journey

Hello, My name is Amy. I am 42 yrs.young. I am very happily married to the most wonderful Christian man for almost 22yrs.(1-27-87) We have a sweet little girl. She is 4yrs. She is an answer to prayer. We live in N.Texas. We now have a little boy
I have been overweight my whole life. I don't know how it would feel to be skinny. I would love to find out! I am trying to get my insurance to pay for the Lap Band. Please include me in your prayers. Thanks for spending time here with me! God Bless!

Well I have an update (10-9-06). I called Dr.Horacio Oria office and they are so very nice. They are working on getting me approved for surgery. Wow! God Bless Them! My spirit is lifted up. I also got records from my other Doctors to show my weight for the past 5Yrs. I hope to know something in a few days. Now I must pray for patients..

10-17-06 Well I got some sad news I got denied. I will appeal!! They will pay for Bulimia and Anorexia and I think that is a good thing! But why not Morbid Obesity? It is a disease also.......

10-19-06 I just got a call and found out that We have an exclusion for wls so they wont cover wls! I can not self pay.

6-18-08 Well I have great news! About 6 weeks ago.... One night as my husband and I were going to bed I told him that I was afraid that I was going to die if I did not loose weight. I know I shouldnt have told him before bed but that is the time we talk.(kids are sleeping) Well the next day he went and got a loan so I could have my lap band surgery.

Well on 6-11-08 We flew to Tijuana the next morning I had my surgery! WOW!! I feel great. Now Im on the road to being healthy. God Bless Dr. Kuri! He is AWSOME!!
