Life is good
on October 9, 2007 1:06 pm
10-9-07~ I haven't been on here in a long time.  Things are going good for me, like always things are really slow.  I have 27 more pounds to loose before I reach my goal!  When I tell people that I only have 27 more pounds to loose, they tell me I am already too skinny and I don't need to loose any more weight.  I am no longer considered obese just " overweight "  sounds a lot better.  I am still proud of myself and like I have always said- I would do it all over again in a heart beat.  It is so nice to shop, when I was fat I hated to even buy clothes.  Life is so good.
Until next time...

Sad times again
on July 22, 2007 7:30 pm
7-11-07~ Today has been very hard, my step-son 17years old passed away today.  I raised him for 7 years of his life and it is so hard to let go.  We had our ups and downs but he was part of my life, my family.  He will truly be missed and forever in our hearts.  R.I.P. THINGS ARE REALLY SLOW
on June 22, 2007 7:19 am
6-22-07 ~ Well today we are leaving to go on our vacation.  It will be nice to be away from home and work!!  My weight lose has been moving really slow the past 2 weeks.  It doesn't really disappoint me like it use to, as long as I am not gaining that is fine.

Nothing is going to stop me
on May 15, 2007 4:25 am
5-15-07 ~ Tomorrow will be 4 months since surgery.  As of today I weigh 198 lbs.  I guess it helped me to walk 2 miles yesterday on my treadmill.  It feels really good to be below 200.  I haven't seen my weight in the 100's for almost eight years now.  Nothing is going to stop me from getting to the weight that I want.  When my journey began I first set my goal at 125, then I decided that 130/135 will be just fine.  I don't want to be to small.  Once I get to my goal weight I will then start looking into plastic surgery.  I hate my bat wings!  But for now I am happy to be loosing, and like I have always said, this is the best thing I could of ever done for myself.  Until next time...

I've been LAZY!!
on April 25, 2007 9:08 am
4-25-07 ~ Well as you can see by the my title I have been lazy alot lately.  Since going back to work, I haven't been exercising like I should or really I should be saying at all!!  I have just thought that I do enough walking at work and was thinking that it was enough.  I know it's not, I have to do more.  I promised myself when I had this surgery that I wasn't going to quit, I was going to take it all the way to the goal I want to be.  So as of today I am no longer going to be lazy, I walked a mile this morning and I plan on walking another mile tonight.  I am loosing weight a little at a time, as long as I don't gain, I am happy with that.  This is still the BEST DECISION I HAVE EVER MADE FOR MYSELF.  Until next time...

Hello, My Name is Sheli and I'm 29. I have been married for 7 years and I have 2 children.  I have been over weight for most of my life.  I have tried all different types of diets, exercise methods, and nothing has helped.  I wasn't aware of Gastric Bypass Surgery until a few months ago.  I was watching the Discovery Health Channel when I saw a show about it.  That same night I started to research it and here I am.  I really want this procedure done.  I want my life back.  I want to be around for my children. Well as you can see I finally had the surgery done on January 16, 2007!!  I have NO doubts, I know this is the best thing I could of done for myself.  I am just taking my new life one day at a time.
