Mark Pleatman MD
Dr. Pleatman is a very professional and skillful surgeon. As others have said, he doesn't have a bedside or hand holding personality. But, I would rather have someone who really knows what he is doing. I picked him because I was self-paying and his price was very resonable. His office staff is totally wonderful and they are the ones you can lean on if you do need some hand holding. Although I don't have any other experience with surgeons, I would rate his ablities as far above all others. I had very little pain, discomfort, or scaring other than the first day. One short stay in the hospital and I was released to a local hotel. I would highly recomend his office for anyone thinking of WLS.

 hey everyone i havnt been on in a while but wanted to update im down to 276lbs im living down by lansing now and had a baby last nov. my weight stayed the same within 2-3 lbs during the pregnancy and ive still stayed the same its not easy but its a tool not a fix all it was the best thing i have done i wouldnt change it for the world

hey everyone im doing awsome i got released from the hospital yesterday and am doing wonderful today my surgery on tues. went awsome im feeling a little disconfort today but thats cause i think i slept wrong last night but itll all go away ill chat more later

hey everyone here igo leaving for my appt. today and surgery tomorrow am still kinda nurvous i bet itll hit me tonight or in the am i am hoping to be on by sunday to give an update.

i called the doctors office yesterday to set up the initial consault and they said that as soon as the doctor approves me that i can have my vsg surgery on the 2nd of feb yeah excited but scared so many emotions.

hi everyone my name is Rachel and I'm new to all of this. I have been looking into having the vertical sleeve done by Dr. Pleatmen in march of 2010. I am excited and cant wait to take back control of my life. I have a loving boyfriend and 3 wonderful kids that are my support team. does anyone have any suggestions for me i have done lots of research but am feeling as if I'm still missing info. and suggestions? thanks for reading
