Surgeon Testimonial

Kristoffel Dumon, M.D.
Kris is the only bariatric surgeon at the University of Penn hospital that my insurance allows to do the surgery. Which is fine by me, I really liked Kris! He explained everything and answered all my questions. rnMy sister is a nurse is the PAC-U at the University of Penn hospital, so he sees her often. And everytime he does I get a phone call that he is asking about me. He remembers me! He wants to know what I am doing and what else I have left to do to get this surgery done. I don't know any other doctor let alone surgeon who would do that. I feel safe in his hands.

i don't wanna go back....

so I hope they got enough information the first time! sleep studies are absolutely ridiculous. Even more so than barium! I guess I can understand why they do sleep studies, but how much information can you get when I don't think I slept very much!?! The wires, they were annoying, especially in my hair, I'm from Jersey, I have big curly hair, and they put paste in my hair! But still, not terrible. The TWO, yes 2 different tubes up my nose, not ok. If I slept on my back, these would all probably be fine. Nope, not Shannon, she has to be difficult. I sleep mostly on my stomache, which he said I could do since it was just a basic test. HORRAY!!!! Not so much, the tubes in my nose running across both cheeks prevent any comfort, even sleeping on my side. I sleep with my hand(s) on my face. LIke a fetal position. I could not get comfortable. I know I slept a little bit and I hope it was enough to get results because redoing the test would be another giant waste of time unless you remove the tubes from my face!!! I am a very light sleeper anyway so any discomfort or interuption and I am awake. oh well....

on the brighter side I am OFFICIALLY done all my testing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I GOT A DATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! June 14th 2010! YIPPEE!!!! super excited! super scared out of my mind! Mostly for after, life after surgery. I have read the stories, good and bad, and it scares me! But I need to do this for me!!! ME! ME! ME! ME!!!!!!!!! and I have made my decision no matter how scared! This is something I need to do for ME!
