Finally on the Losing Side

I'm now two weeks post-op and down 16 pounds.  I'm happy to say I have not experienced any complications.  I'm walking two or three times a day for 30 minutes each.  I'm looking forward to being able to go the the gym in a couple of weeks.  
Sticking to the diet has not been as hard as i imagined it would be.  Getting in enough protein is a challenge I'm trying different sources, looking for the best for me. 
 I've only had a couple of days where bordom triggers old habits of wanting to eat just to be eating. . . so far i've resisted.

My Story


I'm now three months out from surgery and down 60 pounds.  I'm struggeling against my old eating habits.  My head still wants to eat all the time even though my stomach says NO WAY.  I'm interested in hearing how  others fight the old habits. 
I slipped on my exercise, need to get back to walking every day.  Sitting beind a desk all day dosn't help much.   Too much grease or sugar makes me nauseous, THANK GOODNESS!  I can eat most foods in small portions.  But, salad tends to run right through me.  Fish and chicken are my main food items. 
Still have to be carful with bite sizes and eating too fast.  Large bites make my stomach hurt and usually comes back up. 
I can now wear size 18, down from size 24.  People are now noticing the change in me. 
Hope to be down to 145 pounds by summer 2009, 60+ more to go...
