Surgeon Testimonial

Gregg Jossart, M.D.
My first impression of Dr. Jossart, was how down to earth he was, and I still feel that way. There was no ego to get past, and he made me feel so comfortable. His staff was very informative and caring. I can't really think of anything negative to say about him, and would certainly recommend him. Future patients should feel confident in his ability as a surgeon, but also in his human compassion. There is a structured aftercare program which I am just beginning. I am only 6 days post op. He was very informative regarding aftercare, and has a website to follow up on daily. All risks were explained completely prior to the surgery. I would rate Dr. Jossart a 9 out of 10. Surgical competence and bedside manner are a package deal for me, and I am fortunate to have found Dr. Jossart.

Wednesday is your day! Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. I am waiting for you on the losers' bench! ~ JudyAnne

I am now 1 year post op from RNY.  My life is forever changed.  I am now a happy participant in life rather than the observer hiding in a corner.  One year ago, I set a goal to run a 10 K, which I completed in May.  It has been an amazing transformation, with no regrets.  I now can look forward to each day of my life with enthusiasm and joy.

Down 42 lbs
on August 9, 2007 10:03 pm

Well here I am 8 weeks post op and down 42 lbs  and I feel wonderful!  I can honestly say that I have no regrets, and am so looking forward to continuing the process of getting healthy.

For the first time in years I am getting excited about shopping.  I could not do this without my families support.  I am so fortunate!

6 days post op :) !!!!

Wow what a difference a week can make.  Everything is going great!  I am so relieved that it is over and I am now onto the next chapter of my healthy life.  We spent the entire week in SanFrancisco, which was a good choice, due to a minor setback, I was close to the hospital.  Everyone at CPMC were wonderful as well as the people at Cathederal Hill Hotel.  I post again in a few days.

5 Days Pre-OP,
on June 2, 2007 11:17 am
I am ready!  My parents are flying into San Francisco from Indiana for my surgery.  I feel so blessed to have their support. My mother is a registered nurse, and that gives me peace of mind, when it comes to monitoring my care. The success that I see on OH, certainly helps with my anxiety leading up to the surgery.  I will post again after I am back home.

My Story

My name is Lisa and I have been obese for 20 years, losing and gaining more weight with each and every diet I went on.  I have decided that gastric bypass is my way of becoming healthy and will allow me to quit sitting on the sidelines and join the game of life and participate fully.  I am so excited about what is ahead for me, and better yet my family as they get to see me change in such a positive direction.  They are my rocks to lean on and support me!
