One year out!
on March 18, 2009 3:37 pm
Today, March 18th 2009, I am one year out.   I would have thought my road to this point would have been much different than it has been.  I am so sad to say that I am not at my goal.  I can eat a whole Erberts and Gerberts sub, without any problem.  I still think about food alot and this bums me out!
I think it's easy for people to say, well she isn't doing what she needs to be doing if she can do all that and has not reached her goal.  When I do what I should for many many days and weeks in a row, I am still thinking about food.
You could say, well, go get head hunger counseling.  I have!  I've read books too!
There are two things I celebrate today;
I am great at exercising and notice it being much easier to do with 85 lbs gone!
I celebrate being a size 12 / 10 instead of a 22 / 20!

Best and worst parts of WLS!
on April 13, 2008 12:52 pm
The worst part for me are those CHEWABLE vitamins!  UGH!

Everything in else in the world is the BEST part of WLS!!!  Everything else is WAY better!  I don't think much about food.  I have starting eating all kinds of yummy things and I don't have to feel guilty about eating too much!  My clothes are getting loose and I have way more energy!
Most of all I have met some of my favorite people in the whole world through this process!  Never, did I think that was part of the wls package!

I am blessed and so very thankful!

Changes needed! April 12, 2008
on April 12, 2008 5:32 am
I am not sticking to pureed food one single bit.  I got SO sick of refried beans and turkey chili.  I have tried to change it up a bit.  I went to the pureed section of eggfaces site...but nothing new that I have not tried.  I have eaten, popcorn shrimp at Long John Silvers, thin crust pizza, pretzels, baked cheetos.  I don't eat much of any of this, but I did not think for a minute I would not have followed my program perfectly!  :O(

My Pouch Works!!!!! 3/28/07
on March 28, 2008 5:28 pm

During the full LD phase I was honestly worried I would have to have sessions learning how to eat and knowing when I am done.  I was hungry most of the time during this post-op LD phase.  I did not feel hungry pre-op LD....go figure!
I started pureed yesterday and I am so thankful to say my pouch works!     I was thinking I may be the ONE person that RNY surgery is not going to work on.   Thank goodness for the pureed stage, it is more bulky and I now feel full after about five bites.  Whoo Hoo!
I am so thankful for my new pouch!
