Dr. Husted is a supernice person and so are Vickie and Janet in the office. They really make you feel comfortable and are easy to talk to. Also, Dr. Husted's Nurse Jamie is a godsend. She is so nice and helps you out if you have ANY problems whatsoever. I am so glad I chose to have Dr. Husted do this surgery for me. He is great! He really cares about his patients and Jamie does too!

    hi Lissa! i've been checking on your progress for several years now...and i have to say...i know you've had your challenges...but you are such a wonderful success...and a true inspiration to the rest of us! :) i have a question for you...you're one of the lucky ones who's continued to lose weight beyond your first year...when many of us (even those of us with 200+ pounds to lose) seem to dead-end at about 12 months out...what's your secret?...can you give those of us who are struggling with that last 20-30% some inspiration?... again...you're awesome, girl! :)

    Hello Lissa, I can't count the numerous times, I have came and read your story, and now that I am a post op myself, and still in the beginning (5 day post op) and feeling quite emotional. I decided to come to your page to gain inspiration, and I notice your new picture. You still look wonderful!! I just wanted to say thank you for being so open and honest on your profiles! I am still waiting for the final decision from Tenncare On My Plastic Surgery Approval. It seems they had not actually approved the procedure, but the consult. (Heard that before)LOL. Regardless the Doctor's office assures me no worries and that I should have a decision any day now! I am so excited! I am really ready for surgery. The extra skin I am carrying especially my belly area is killing my back. It hurts to walk very much and sleeping is near impossible when I try to move. But there is always a light at the end of the tunnel!:) I will update more as soon as I hear from the doc!
12/30/02 WOHOOOOOOOOOO! Official Weight in! I now weigh 344lbs! I am so happy! It is still melting away! I sure do hope this lasts! I have lost a total of  lbs since May 2001:)
