My first 3 months

After many years of the struggling with my weight, I decided 9/9/08, to have the Lap Band done.  Attended the Bariatric seminar 9/10/08, it was at the seminar, that I realized I was already more than halfway through the pre-req's for the insurance company.  At the seminar I scheduled my consultation for 10/16/08.  I immediately came home and emailed Weight Watchers, and explained that I needed all my weights documented on letterhead, which I had in a few days.  I had my nutritional consult on 10/1/08, and recieved my letter in the mail the following week. I saw the NP at my Primary's office and got all the documentation I needed.  I was establised with a psych so I already had an appointment for 10/15/08, which I was given clearance for at that appointment.  So at my consult on 10/16/08, I was given a surgical date of 12/12/08.  I attended the required Bariatric Rehab program on 11/12/08, and on 11/13/08 my pre-authorization was submitted to the insurance company.  I recieved a call 11/24/08 I was approved.  Had my bloodwork and chest xray don on 11/28/08, and medical clearance on 12/1/08.  Now I wait for the 12th of December, which will be the first day of my new life!!!
