Surgeon Testimonial

James D. Atkinson
My first imprtession was of a very intelligent doctor. Easy to talk to. The best thing about him was his bedside manner. He actually came in at 3:00am to check up on me as he was worried when my blood sugar levels wouln't go down past 300.rnrnI have seen him ina user support group, and my opinion of him has not changed. a wonderful, excellent, doctor and human being.

Its been almost 5 months since my surgery.  I've lost 120 pounnds and I still can't believe it.  I'm changing my wardrobe, and doing alot of things around the house I never thought I would do again.

Physically I've lost alot of muscle besides the fat,  I am first begining to eat normal food and keeping it down.  I was afraid to get off of liquids and pureed foods.  Fish seems to work best for me, but I will try some meat real soon.

I got off of Insulin (yeah, no more shots), but am still on pills.  My doctor told me they eventually would go away with more weight loss.  I'm only 30 pounds to my goal.

My wife and I are taking a trip overseas in June.  I worry about being able to eat properly on the plane and in the foreign country we're visiting.  The best part will be not having to ask for a seat extension!!
