Dr. Jones came with high praise from everyone I talked to. I was very impressed by him. He took alot of time to answer my questions and didn't seemed rushed at all. Very personable and I feel so much better now, after having met him. I feel lucky to have him as a surgeon. Covered everything in detail and was very honest and sincere.

  • Books & Literature - LOVE to read. Wish there were more time to do so. Prefer non-fiction.
  • Adoption - I am a big advocate for adoption. It can be such a wonderful option!
  • Movies - A big fan of bad horror movies. Can appreciate
  • Music - Love watching good live music, most kinds. Many favorites, love the 80's rock.
  • Fishing - Very fun when they're biting.

  • Cake Decorating - Used to be a fun hobby, maybe one day will get back into it.

My Story

Switched over to new profile format so I will condense things.

5/4/04 (36 yo) went to info session at Park Nicollet Clinic in SLP.

5/15/04 Sent paperwork packet back to PNC

6/8/04 1st appt at PNC,computer physc eval (MMPI) and a meeting with the nurse.

6/22/04 Met with dietician (nutrition), psychologist (got A+ on my eval!!) and the physical therapist (exercise ideas).

6/30/04 Sleep study-found out I have sleep apnea (stopped breathing avg of 13xhour and 130+leg kicks in the night (rls).  Get a CPAP on Tues 7/20/04.

7/16/04 My sister had rny today with Dr. Trent Carlson at Abbott.  Not a great doctor.

7/31/04 No news yet from insurance.

8/5/04 DENIED!  But then I appealed and was subsequently approved 4 weeks later.

10/7/04  Consult with Dr. Jones and can get on the schedue right away (10/19/07)

10/11/04  U/S of gall bladder-everything A-OK

10/9/04  Liquid diet starts  My mom is coming to stay with me for a week when I have my surgery.

10/19/04  SURGERY-Everything goes fine and dandy

11/19/05 1 YEAR- I am down to 122  (100# lost)

AS OF TODAY (7/13/07) still maintaining at about 125-128 !!!
