Neil E. Hutcher M.D.
I first met Dr. Hutcher at a local WLS seminar. I was struck by his dedication to his patients, his record of preforming many surgeries and his sense of humor. He is a real patient advocate for fair treament by insurance companies, but I of course was impressed with the 3500+ weight loss surgeries he has preformed and the fact that he is very up to date in his procedures.

Also, he requires smokers to quit and explained that smokers have a much higher risk of certain complications. What an incentive.

I am still very impressed after my initial consultation.

The have an extensive pre and post-op program which I will be involved in once I get my surgery date.

8/18/2006 Weight 195.6 Well, I have been doing a little better with my food and water. I started going to water aerobics three days a weeks. It feels wonderful. I am keeping up and I am much more limber after about one month. I have also lost 4 pounds. I am 1 and a half pounds from having lost 150 pounds! That feels great too. I have never exercised before. I am sorry I didn't start sooner, but am so glad I have started.

8/25/2006 Wow, I weigh 193.6. I can't believe it, I have lost 150+ pounds. I am so grateful. I have also lost 24 pounds since I was in Florida last. That's five pounds a month. Not great, but I will take it. :) Actually that is pretty darn good. I am thinking about starting another exercise class at the Y. Maybe the one called backs and abs. Tonight I find out if I can get up off the floor by myself. That will be the deal beaker.

8/28/2006 Weight 192. My next mini goal has been been 180, my weight on my wedding day. That is still over weight, but not a bad look.
